Best things about this hotel.
1. Airport limousine bus depo is right in front of hotel.
2. Tour bus is also picked up from same bus depo. More time to enjoy breakfast.
3. Breakfast buffet was top notch. Great choice of hot American style to Japanese style. Juice bar and espresso machine. Fresh fruit, salad, sushi, hot soup, rice, wagyu meatballs, grilled halibut and more. Longer breakfast hours than other hotels 6:30am to 10am.
4. Loved that it’s attached to Avanti mall and from hotel you just push B level for basement to go to mall restaurants. Mall restaurants were much more affordable than Kyoto Station restaurants.
5. Easy to purchase souvenirs at Avanti Don Quixote store. Lots of great shops at this mall.
6. Just steps away from Kyoto Subway station entrance to go to Gion and other areas of Kyoto. Just 2-3 stops.
7. Loved the luggage locker room where you can secure your luggages and put backpacks into locker where you set your own PIN number. Checked out at 9am and left luggage until 8:30p flight. Enjoyed sightseeing on checkout date.
8. Just across the street from Shinkansen bullet train.
Only thing I personally didn’t like was the deep shower tub. It was hard to get in and out of. Would have preferred a walk-in shower.
Oh. Also Wi-Fi is very very slow.
Definitely would stay again if I return to Kyoto. Highly recommend.
