Such a lovely hotel, close to the main streets but actually quiet nevertheless. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Having our breakfast in the garden was a real treat. Would recommended as a great base to explore the city.

This was a hotel that felt like it had stepped out of beauty and the beast , very u usual but beautiful. The staff were amazing , would definitely go back . Food was good , staff always on hand and helped book transport , arranged a trip and just generally gave great advice . Felt really comfortable and welcome . Easy walking distance to shops but also really peaceful

Beautiful and historic hotel, well-situated and with lovely peaceful garden. Good breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. Unfortunately our room’s aircon was out for our 2 night stay and the first night in particular was stifling despite fans being provided. While we did receive a discounted stay, it was only after making requests vs being volunteered, which would have made all the difference.

The breakfast was delicious! Everything was fresh! The room was large and comfortable. The staff was helpful. I liked the location and the quiet garden.

Beautiful property, breakfast and rooms amazing. It was an excellent location not too far from tourist attractions but quiet oasis with a beautiful garden!

This hotel is fantastic. Venice is crowded. But when you turn off down the little alley to this hotel, suddenly there is a peaceful place. You can sit in the courtyard of this hotel or on the boat platform overlooking a quite canal and forget you just walked through crowds of people to get there. The breakfast buffet was great. We stayed here six nights and loved the place. It is also in a convenient location. You are very close to the boat dock to go to Murano and Burano (and the airport). You are only a 15 minute walk from St. Mark's square that takes you through some nice sights. There are many nice restaurants nearby and if you want a more quiet place, you simply go North from the hotel and walk around the canals to the North. There is a place for a gondola ride 5 minutes away where we saw only 1 other boat, rather than traffic jams of boats we saw elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. In addition to breakfast, they have cookies, cake, tea, juice, etc. in the afternoon which gives you more time to enjoy the beautiful courtyard.

Breakfast was fresh and wonderful. A/C kept our room perfectly cooled!

It's hard not to love this place. Excellent location in a quiet nook. Beautiful garden with ample seating. Very charming. Very Venetian. Very peaceful. I believe there are only 15 rooms in the hotel giving the hotel a boutique feel. In a lively city like Venice, it truly was a very nice retreat. The staff was very friendly yet not overly helpful. The other guests were truly considerate. That being said, if you read previous Expedia reviews, the hotel gets high marks on all categories except Value, which comes in at 7.8. After staying at the hotel, I understand that rating better. For about $500 a night, the value was just not there for me. My pet peeves were the uncomfortable mattress. I could feel the bed springs slightly on my back, although I did end up sleeping well and the bedding itself was top-notch. The air-conditioning blew as gentle as a whisper, and I don't even think it was cool air. Thankfully, I did not have rely on it because it was cooler outside. Some of the rugs on the floor were turned up in the corners, making them a trip hazard, and I had to rearrange them to make the room safer. There was not a walk-in shower but an older bath that was about 2 1/2 feet off the ground to step into. I had to be very careful getting into and out of the tub and the floor of the bathtub was very slippery. In summary, the experience was very enjoyable in spite of all my pet peeves though I would not stay here again at $500/ night as for me the value was not there.
