Had a great stay at Rock Rivers. The staff also coordinated with my girlfriend to surprise me with Peruvian wine, cake, and a decorated room for my birthday when we arrived. We arrived very late (around 9p) and were quickly checked in. The rooms are clean and warm. The free breakfast is a great benefit. Had an enjoyable stay here!

Great place to stay if going to Machu Picchu. The staff are so helpful, the bus stop to go to Machu Picchu is just across the road and it’s a 1min walk from the train station. We also LOVED the restaurant “Ponchos” which is just underneath. Definitely reccomend!

This, by far, was the noisiest hotel I’ve stayed at. Chairs scraping on hard floors, every footstep on the open staircase, loud music, carrying voices, slamming doors. Just the worst. The room did not in the slightest look like the pictures. It was a stuffy, tiny room with no window to outside; rather, it opened to some kind of shaft that allowed no fresh air. I paid about US$90/night, which is a little higher than other local hotels. On the bright side, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly. I would not recommend this property and regret my choice to stay here.

Rockrivers was super convenient located steps from the train, near lots of restaurants and places to go and see. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Overall the property was great and I would definitely stay here again when I return to Machu Picchu. I was really happy with this hotel. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Not many amenities provided but this is understandable being we are in the mountains. Staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk was not staffed the hours I walked by, but the restaurant staff could handle double duty if needed. They did meet me at the train station and escort me to the hotel. Which we above and beyond. As for the surroundings. There were plenty of restaurants and bars near by, lots of shopping and scenic tours you can do. This was a great hotel, I do recommend!

The customer service was excellent, probably the best experience I've had at a hotel. The staff are so attentive! I would stay here again.
