The front desk staff was the most helpful I have ever had while traveling! This hotel is ideal for foreign travelers. The gym was great and it was nice to have laundry facilities.

Excellent hotel for a family with kids. It’s gets a bit tight with a family of 5 and luggage’s but great hotel, excellent service and would book again. The only issue was the laundry room. Half the machines were not working properly and dryers took too long. I recommend the hotel replace all their machines.

Wonderful stay! Very comfortable for our family of 5. Very clean, convenient, and staff is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if we ever get the chance to visit Kyoto again.

Check in was exceptionally smooth due to front desk staff being fluent in multiple languages. Staff were super courteous and helpful too! There’s a small kiosk off to the side of the reception area that had bios of the front desk staff and it was actually quite amazing how many languages are available.
There’s rooms were enormous. Like…no joke.. seriously huge by Japan standards. They could probably do with an additional washer / dryer room somewhere else in the building but it was still overall quite convenient. It cost about 700 yen to do a load of laundry (wash + dry). The staff also helped set up a free loaner appleTV unit so we could stream Netflix / YouTube during our stay, which was really quite nice. Food delivery through Uber Eats is RIDICULOUSLY quick and efficient - it puts the US to shame. We ordered McDonalds delivery one morning for breakfast and it got to us in 8 min flat. Kitchen was well stocked and perfectly usable and there is a grocery store literally half a block away. The only downside is that there’s not a whole lot else within a 5-10 min walk other than a 7 eleven, pharmacy, and some small restaurants. You have to walk about 15 min to get to nearby shopping areas.
I would gladly stay at MIMARU again in the future!
