The fire alarm went off four times during the night. The first time was for 45 minutes even though there is onsite staff (who slept through the alarm). My bathroom had significant mold and mildew in both the shower and general bathroom area. The staff was nice but that didn’t make up for the other deficiencies.

A lovely little hotel. A very comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Well located for getting around Brighton, mostly by walking. I'll definitely be booking here again.

We stayed at Paskins Townhouse, booked through Expedia. The arrival and check-in process was smooth and welcoming, however the condition of the room was very disappointing. On entering the room, it was clear it had not been properly cleaned or dusted for a long time. Surfaces appeared neglected and there was visible dust throughout. The curtains were in particularly poor condition, with clear mould and damp patches present. This was especially concerning as we were travelling with a child who has asthma. The presence of mould and damp made the room feel unsuitable and potentially unsafe for anyone with respiratory conditions. While the booking and arrival experience through Expedia and the hotel check-in itself were fine, the standard of cleanliness in the room fell far below what we expected. We hope this is addressed, as it significantly impacted our stay.

Location was excellent, right off James Street, with plenty of restaurants, pubs, grocery stores nearby. Also close to the beach promenade and Palace Pier. The hotel is on the older side, but still very comfortable, good hot water, great mattress. Owner Claudia was always available to answer questions and gove recommendations. Thanks for helping me with my suitcase!

Perfect service perfect room

The room was clean, the staff were really helpful. Charlotte was super helpful and lovely. The single room felt homely. The bathroom was very clean. It was nice and quiet which was exactly what I needed. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The only thing I'd say is the mattress was very springy and dipped in the middle so I think a new mattress may be better. Apart from that it was lovely and I definitely would stay here again. Thank you so much
