The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. However, the hotel is quite dated and the decor is flat and tired. The hotel is close to Kyoto station - a 15 minute walk or so. Overall, I think other Stay Sakura hotels in Kyoto are nicer and so would probably choose to stay in a different Stay Sakura hotel in future.

Nice property but out of the way for tourist activities and shopping. It is in the middle of a local neighbourhood. You will hear nothing at night.
