Joanna, our tour guide, has such a warm and pleasing personality! She was incredibly patient, cheerful, and entertaining throughout our tour, despite the long travel hours. She kept us engaged by sharing interesting stories and insights about Taiwan’s culture, traditions, and way of life, which made the experience even more meaningful. What impressed us most was how generous she was with her time. She never seemed to worry about the time and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She even went above and beyond by dropping us off at Ningxia Night Market, which was not originally planned, instead of simply directing us back to our hotel. She also patiently waited while my sister and I enjoyed coffee and ice cream. Joanna also voluntarily took countless beautiful photos of us throughout the tour. A very comfortable and wonderful day! Hotel pick-up and drop-off were extremely convenient, and the itinerary was well-organized. Although the drive from Taichung to Alishan involves a long stretch of winding mountain roads, the driver, Mr. Ren, drove very steadily and reassuringly. The tea-picking experience exceeded expectations; I originally thought it would be mainly about pushing tea sales, but actually the owner and staff of the tea plantation were very warm and attentive with no forced sales at all. They first introduced the process of tea picking and making, took us to tour the workshop, and then let us taste various teas such as black tea and oolong tea, along with some small snacks. The owner himself studied agricultural planting techniques on the mainland for a year in his early years and cares deeply about the tea plantation. The pace of the entire tour was great, and we got to see all the highlights of Alishan. It really saves a lot of hassle compared to arranging transportation on your own. I highly recommend this Alishan day tour to everyone!
