An extraordinary boathouse (funaya). It is a genuinely traditional Japanese two-story accommodation. And the waterfront onsen is simply fabulous. Two nights is just right. If you arrive early in Amanohashidate, you have time to go up the funicular before taking the bus to Ine. The tourist information center at the station provides everything you need. There is a fabulous restaurant right next door for 4,000 yen per person.
