Passeios em Kruba Srivichai Monument

Mais do que um passeio para ver o nascer do sol, este meio-dia foi realmente significativo, e o nosso guia James foi o ponto alto! Começamos por comprar comida para dar dana (esmolas) no Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, passando pela estátua do monge que angariou fundos para construir a estrada da montanha. O James já foi monge, por isso explicou a história de Buda, os murais do templo e o significado das decorações dos pilares. O nascer do sol estava deslumbrante, com toda a cidade lá em baixo, enquanto o James partilhava a história de cada templo. O Wat Pha Lat é uma joia escondida e pacífica. Através das suas ligações com os monges, o James deu-nos uma verdadeira perspetiva da vida monástica e do significado por trás das nagas, tigres e divindades. O nosso favorito foi o Wat Umong. Experimentámos instrumentos e bebidas locais num pequeno evento e explorámos os túneis de meditação que um rei construiu para um monge venerado (com morcegos fofos lá dentro!). Pareceu uma visita a templos históricos de Lanna com um monge verdadeiro ao nosso lado. Altamente recomendado, e o James é o melhor guia!

I made good use of the free time in the evening for sightseeing. The duration was just right, not too long and not too short. It was very convenient that after the tour, I could be dropped off at a dinner location instead of being taken back to the hotel. The guide was also very kind and provided clear explanations, which was excellent.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend the Doi Suthep half-day tour! The itinerary is well-paced and never feels rushed. Our tour guide, Mike, speaks Chinese, so communication was completely seamless. His service was exceptional; he patiently explained things along the way and even kindly offered to take photos for us, knowing all the best angles. We stopped at a Hmong village for coffee halfway through, which had a wonderful mountain atmosphere and offered an immersive experience of Northern Thailand's hill tribe culture. The entire experience was relaxed and comfortable, making it stress-free even with children. A wonderful mountain excursion in Chiang Mai and extremely satisfying!

O motorista foi muito bom e a viagem em geral foi confiável. A Cachoeira Sticky está localizada em um parque florestal no norte da Tailândia, e as rochas da cachoeira são de um tom cinza-azulado, o que é incrível! A água é fresca e você pode interagir de perto com a natureza enquanto sobe!

Huge thanks to our guide Jane for such an amazing experience today! They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to every detail. We learned so much and had a fantastic time. 10/10 recommendation!

We had a group size of 8 with people from 3 different countries! Our guide shared some history of Chiang Mai and of the 2 temples we were visiting. Duration was just right and thankful for the transportation to and from hotel!

I really enjoyed my tour visiting the Long Neck Tribe and the temples. Our tour guide, Saman, was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging throughout the tour. It was clear how passionate he was about sharing his knowledge of the local religion, culture, and traditions, as well as providing us with insight into the culture and history of the Long Neck Tribe. His enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience particularly enjoyable and memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Chiang Mai!!

Our guide Ekachai is friendly and fun to hike with! We stayed out of the main city and in the mountains so I was a little worried about transport but Ekachai was able to arrange pick up/drop off directly from our accoms with an additional fee. He also brought us to different route then he usually does, so we ended up hiking for 5hours with many scenic view points and gained lots harvesting tips! Will do again if I ever come back! :) Do remember to bring lots of sugary snacks - you will need them!

I took the cooking class on October 9th. Since it was off-peak, there was no one else there, so it was basically a private one-on-one lesson with the instructor, haha! We cooked four dishes and got a dessert included—there was way more food than I could possibly finish. In the afternoon, I went to the elephant sanctuary. The tour guide spoke Chinese the whole time and explained the background of these elephant camps in Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai. They are actually the result of multi-party rescue efforts, using tourism revenue to feed these rescued, injured elephants. The youngest elephant at this camp, Lala, is just over six years old and was rescued from a circus. The staff carefully sets aside some extra food for her to eat nearby so the older elephants don't steal it. Lala has a very mischievous personality, just like a teenager. The oldest elephant here is 41 years old—I forgot his name, haha! There was also a mother-daughter pair, and one mother elephant was pregnant and about to give birth. That's when I learned that an elephant's gestation period is two years—it's so hard on them. It was a very precious experience, and I hope the elephants' lives just keep getting better.
