A viagem é da Wine Hop & Coastal Tours. O nome do nosso guia era Philip (Phil) e ele conduziu a viagem super bem. 👍🏻
This was our 2nd tour with Wine Hop and Coastal Tours (our previous tour was to Great Ocean Road) and we had a great time as well! We received a Whatsapp from the tour operator on the confirmed pickup time and venue the day before. This tour is more relaxing. We started off at around 11.30am and went over to the popular Brighton Bathing Beach Boxes. Then we continued our journey to Phillip Island, where we visited Maru Koala and Animal Park and The Nobbies. And finally to our main attraction - Penguin Parade. We only had about 45mins for a quick dinner at the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre as the penguins tend to come earlier in Autumn/Winter. The penguins eventually came around 5.50pm and it was a truly memorable experience. We head back to the city afterwards and reach around 9pm. Our guide, Jack, is very friendly. He shared bits of info and pointed out some of the animals along the way. We managed to see wild wallabies and Cape Barren goose (which is native to Phillip Island) thanks to him! One thing to note is good to bring along some food to munch on. The tour does not include a lunch stop, and dinner might need to be a quick one. All in all, an awesome experience and will definitely like to hop on to other Wine Hop and Coastal tours!
6 months ago! As busy work gets, I promised to do a review! Our Wine Hop & Coastal Tours guide, Dirk, is a really funny and chatty guy! Thanks for the fun penguin triva quizzes along the way and that little secret area you brought us to see the little penguins up close, learnt so much from you! Brighton beach is such a beautiful place, the mini zoo, Seal Rock & Philip Island was equally serene and peaceful too! Couldn't find a good photo for the little penguins, but I can assure you, though the wait at the beach is chilly, do remember to bring warm clothing. BUT IN THE END, IT'S SO WORTH IT! They are really adorable! Though I still didn't understand how the conservation centre managed to count the total number every night, super awesome trip! - Jasmine from Singapore (I was supposed to use the other Klook account, but I booked this activity under a different one by accident).
Our tour guide was Dirk, a friendly guy who gave us commentary along the way. Time was enough at all places. Got to see the kangaroos up close and personal. Saw wallabies in the wild too, aplenty of them. Was worried that it would be too cold waiting for the penguins at the beach but it was bearable. Glad we came during the winter cos the penguins came in earlier at about 5.50pm and we were back in Melbourne by 8.45pm. Phew!
The tour operator is Wine Hope and Coastal Tours and our guide is Jim. Our group had only 10 people which was a pleasant surprise, so the schedule was managed pretty well. We stopped at Brighton Bathing Boxes which were cute. Then after 1.5 hours Maru Koala and Animal Park. What I love was kangaroo feeding, worth AUD3. Then we had dinner at Cowes and all agreed to skip The Nobbles as the sun would set early and wanted to get best view for penguin parade. Then there was a hiccup which I really appreciate the operator solving the problem that eventually we didn’t miss the penguin parade highlight. There are 2 parts, first penguins come to the beach which I think difficult to see anyway, so I focus on the second part when you can see penguins along the board walk. Make sure to get there early. Even though they say no photos, many people still took. Wish they control better.
I am now loving Australia. Aside from Great Ocean Rd, they also have this beautiful Philip Island! Maru Koala Park is so cool cause you’ll get a close encounter with the lovely kangaroos. Plus, be amazed with little penguins walking right in front of you. Long drive but then again, this will make you feel alive! Jack’s playlist is as cool as him. He ensures to inform as how to enjoy the places esp the penguin parade.
Must go Philip Island to see the penguins when you are in Melbourne. Waiting for the penguins to come on shore is very cold as its at the seaside, so make sure you bring your jacket. scarf and gloves. But the wait in the cold was with it. The penguins are so cute! This trip includes visiting Brighton Beach Boxes and Maru Wildlife Park where we were able to see the Koalas and touch the kangaroos. Good package. Highly recommended!
The tour guide, Russel, is super caring and professional. He brought us to the best place to see the penguins and also stopped by the road when there are little animals nearby
Great itinerary with beautiful weather! The tour guide, Rick provides good explanation of the attractions and drove us safely from one destination to another! We start of at the Brighton Beach & end the day watching the Penguin Parade! Not forgetting watching the beautiful sunset at Philip Island!
This was ultimate fun. We had ample time for photo taking at the iconic Brighton beach boxes and also there was no rushing in all of the pitstops. The view was breathtaking along the drive to Philip Islands. The park where you interact with Kangaroos, Koalas & other local animals were small but enough to keep the children occupied. The highlight was watching the penguins within an arm reach when they walk on shore. Our guide Joe was very friendly and helpful. Recommended.
