Excursão de meio dia ao Doi Suthep e à Vila Hmong

O passeio de meio dia é bom, não muito longo e não cansativo. A guia, Mee, é ótima, profissional e fala bem em ambos os idiomas, inglês e mandarim. Nos pegou no hotel e foi flexível em nos deixar em um local ao longo do caminho. A última parada, um templo no alto de uma montanha, a subida de 300 degraus foi um bom exercício e proporcionou uma vista fantástica da cidade de Chiang Mai.

excellent tour, the guide was extremely nice and shared a lot of historic and cultural knowledge about the places visited. I got to try tradicional clothes from village people (it was around 60 baht) remember to bring cash if you want to try the locals food, coffee and wine. there's a lot of hand made stuff you can buy also. there's ATM but only in one place.

Composto predominantemente por ingleses e alguns asiáticos como nós, o guia turístico conseguiu explicar e partilhar a história do local em mandarim simples, ajudando a minha mãe com problemas de mobilidade a usar a escada rolante para o templo Suthep. Gostei da excursão de meio dia. Satisfeito.

Tenho mais uma paragem. Visitamos dois templos e uma aldeia. Wat Phalet é um templo com 700 anos, e o pagode parece muito antigo. Na Aldeia das Tribos da Colina, vi muitas pessoas aborígenes vestidas. E dei a uma jovem irmã a minha Medalha da Maratona como presente.

O guia de inglês, Sr. Chai, explicou detalhadamente a história e a cultura da Montanha Doi Suthep, com tempo suficiente para passear. Meio dia é um tempo adequado, sem pressa, muito bom. No regresso, é possível ser deixado noutro local na Cidade Antiga, mas é preciso avisar com antecedência, o que é muito flexível, não sendo obrigatório regressar ao hotel. Visiting to doi suthep is a must when travelling to chiang mai. Tour guide was good speaking in english sharing the history of doi suthep the beautiful temple. Hmong village is decent having the chance to see how village tribe live and selling their items. We also had the chance to try on many wine before purchasing back home!.

A just-OK tour. Kind of disappointed that the tour guide did not give much information about the places we visited but just dropped us here and there, then told us when we would meet again for the bus. The transfer service was nice though. The panoramic view to overlook Chiang Mai city at the temple could be even more amazing if the weather was better. The visit to the tribe was dull yet humble. In general, if you have abundant time to explore Chiang Mai, and you have seen the sites in old city or done many other outdoor adventures, then this tour could be a choice. Otherwise, this tour is just a way to kill your time.

The temple is beautiful but again with these places in Thailand they are swarming with tourists, so it can be hard to get the perfect picture. The journey up is on a winding mountain road so it can feel a bit queezy. The hmong village has a beautiful garden, which our guide bizarrely told us not to visit as its not the season for the flowers. However, ignore this and go visit and pay the extra w0 baht for the lovely views.

O passeio em si foi bom - carro limpo, guia turístico bom e seguro e até forneceu guarda-chuvas. A vila era bastante chata na minha opinião, você é conduzido por um mercado (subindo uma montanha!!!) e termina em um museu que você precisa pagar para entrar, então você fica por sua conta. Pessoas com problemas de mobilidade teriam dificuldades com este passeio, dada a parte da vila, que não era uma caminhada fácil montanha acima!

value for money and time versus getting your own songtheaws along the way. it was a nice temple. time at hmong village was too short in my opinion as there were 2 flower gardens and a strawberry farm.
