Great location And value for money!

Well-designed hotel with a lovely interior throughout. The location is excellent too – it’s on a new development just outside the city centre, and hopping on a Voi scooter into town was quick, easy and quite possibly the most fun I’ve had obeying traffic laws. The bedrooms are also great, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and overall it’s a place I’d happily stay again. However… there is one issue. The bar staff called time at 10:30pm. 10:30pm. On. A. Saturday... I wasn’t asking them to recreate Ibiza in 1999. I simply thought a second pint while watching the World Cup on a warm summer evening in the lovely outdoor seating area wasn’t an outrageous request. Perhaps I’m showing my age, but I’d always considered 10:30pm to be the point where an evening begins to gather momentum. Everything else was superb. Just don’t expect the nightlife to extend beyond the end of The One Show.

Amenities: Broken but addressed by maintenance the following morning: toilet seat, refrigerator. Room annoyances: Fire alarm at 6:50 AM and 11:52AM, air conditioning not working. Staff: On Monday around 7pm, staff told me repeatedly I would be able to extend. To be safe, I made a booking at the sister property (in the same building). Then front desk called at 1pm on Tuesday and told me to leave immediately. Said hotel completely full for the remainder of the week, and were even overbooked by 1. Refused to let me speak to the duty manager. I insisted given the misleading and/or lack of communication. He threatened to send someone to "throw me out". I insisted on staying until I spoke to a manager. Manager arrived. She apologises and offers to check me in immediately. I accept. The entire incident was completely avoidable if they had just told me the truth. Also, in a hotel with 200 rooms, being overbooked by one is not the crisis they proclaimed it to be. The likelihood of 2 people cancelling during the day was quite high. Well, people did cancel. I know because more bookings appeared I booked for Wednesday to Friday. I am writing this review from the room. That proves they did have availability at the time the told me they did not, or people cancelled afterwards. Even then, it was pretty obvious there might be a cancellation. In sum, the front desk staff treated me as a criminal after being told incorrect information on 4 separate occasions.

Nice sized room for a family of 4 sharing, spotless, good AC, comfy bed, and good shower. Would stay again

Fantastic hotel, staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, although we only stayed for 1 night and had to leave before breakfast started so didn’t get to try out all of the facilities but we made use of the little coffee shop in the reception area. The hotel is in a great location if you don’t want to stay right in the centre. There’s a bus stop outside the hotel and the park and ride is only a short walk away from the hotel. We decided to walk back in the evening, it was around a 3km walk and took around 30 mins so easily doable if you don’t mind walking. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we visit Cambridge

I’ve stayed many tomes. Due to a processing error, by stay was booked on the date I booked it rather than the date of stay. They refused to cancel without a cancellation fee and I am out of pocket of over £80 not stayed there for that night. I have stayed in the past, but for a residence to steal my money by not refunding or compromising and not providing the service of the money they took. Never staying again. I travel regularly for work, so that won’t happen anymore
