Really nice

Clean and centrally located, very comfortable hotel, perfect for tourists

This is a great place to stay in the heart of Kyoto. Just next to Nishiki market and lots of shopping. Rooms are small as would be expected. The beds are double beds (not queen) and the room isn't much bigger than the bed. No way to get more than two people in a room. But I got two rooms for 3 people so it was fine. It was still an exceptional value. It's not a business traveler's hotel -- no space to work in your room. But for a tourist on my own dime it was perfect. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel

Our triple room (which I believe was a double with the couch converted) was slightly bigger than others we’d stayed in while in Japan. We had no view to speak of but it didn’t matter because we spent the majority of our time out, sightseeing and enjoying the city. I liked the hotel’s system for notifying staff of the need for a cleaning: a magnet on the door signifying the need for a full clean, change of trash bag and linens, or no service at all. Everything in the hotel felt relatively upscale. The entrance from the street (next to the Rolex store) was lovely, as there were fresh flowers and we were greeted by air conditioning and a really calming, fresh scent each time we entered. The other entrance (into the underground mall/subway complex) was very convenient and allowed us to teach destinations more quickly than if we were to brave the crowds on the streets above. Breakfasts were outstanding, and staff was clearly aimed at pleasing each guest. My only (very minor) disappointment was that, since I’d read there were laundry facilities on-site, I’d planned to do our laundry here. There were 2 machines, both tiny, and both full. However, we were able to toss our laundry into one rolling suitcase and take it to a proper laundromat a half mile away, and that worked out just fine. The hotel is quite nice, and I would most definitely stay here again.

Clean room

The location was amazing! The hotel was so nice and clean !!

Convenient, nice staff, direct access to subway, modern amenities
