A gem of a hotel close to the lakeshore, the hotel was spotless and our first experience of ryokan, playing out our beds and enjoying the simplicity.
A konbini and lots of restaurants meant great choice for food (including ice-cream!), the 15km route around the lake was good for a bike ride (bikes and scooters to hire from the hotel). The onsen was very relaxing.
Plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful, friendly and fun - a great location all round.

Room was spacious and clean, they give you a bag when you check in and you grab all the amenities you need. Near Yamanakako and bus station barely a 2 min walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well! For foreigners they have qr codes of videos of how to set up a futon and how to eat Chazuke for breakfast which I found very helpful!

Parking for cars is just in front of the hotel. The lake is just a short walk away (my room does not have the lake view)

I would recommend having a car being on this side of the lake. Taxi isn't easy to call on your own, you would need to use hotel front desk. Right across from the bus station. Room was nice. Bathroom floor was very squeaky. Quiet and clean.
