The driver was very thoughtful and communicated well in English. We had some extra time on our last stop, so he took us to the Zenigata Sunae, which felt very auspicious for the New Year. At Chichibugahama Beach, he thoughtfully provided large towels for us and helped us find the best spots for photos, even taking great pictures for us. We asked him to take us directly to a restaurant, and he was very helpful in making a reservation for us. When that restaurant was full, he immediately recommended and booked another similar place close to our hotel. His service throughout the trip was very attentive and thoughtful. I highly recommend this private car day tour!

This time, I brought my family to Takamatsu, and to easily explore the surrounding attractions, we chose a private car day tour. This was definitely the best decision of the entire trip!
🚗 Professional and Warm Local Guide
First, I must highly praise our driver! Her service was very professional and meticulous. Not only did she drive smoothly throughout the journey, but she also introduced us to Takamatsu's attractions and local customs, just like a local friend.
What I'm most grateful for is that, based on the day's pace, she specifically recommended we visit **"Zentsu-ji Temple"**. This was not in our original plan, but she guaranteed it was worth visiting based on her professional experience, and it truly amazed us. It perfectly demonstrated the advantage of flexible adjustments in a private car tour.
📍 Highlights of Today's Itinerary
First Stop: Slowpoke Park
If you're a Pokémon fan or traveling with children, this place is simply paradise! There are super cute Slowpoke facilities everywhere, colorful and great for photos, putting everyone in a good mood right from the start.
Second Stop: Konpira-san (Kotohira-gu Shrine)
A must-visit shrine in Kagawa, a place you "must visit once in your lifetime." Although it requires climbing thousands of stone steps, the shopping street along the way is great for browsing. After reaching the observation deck and overlooking the vast Sanuki Plain, all the sweat was worth it!
Third Stop: Zentsu-ji Temple (Highly Recommended by the Driver!)
This is the birthplace of Kobo Daishi, with magnificent architecture and a solemn, peaceful atmosphere. Compared to the bustling Konpira-san, this place offered a sense of tranquility. Walking through the temple grounds, I felt my mind and body calm down. I'm truly grateful for the driver's insightful recommendation.
Fourth Stop: Shikokumura (Shikoku Folk Village)
The last stop was this place rich in history. The park relocated ancient folk houses from various parts of Shikoku and even has a miniature "Kazurabashi Bridge" to experience. Strolling around and admiring the ancient buildings felt like traveling through time, providing a perfect end to the day's itinerary.
💡 Summary of Experience
We visited four attractions today, and although the itinerary was packed, we didn't feel tired at all. Thanks to the driver's thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service and professional explanations, we avoided the anxiety of transferring and waiting for transportation, allowing us to fully enjoy each attraction.

It was cloudy until morning and cold enough to see our breath because it rained the night before the tour. However, thanks to our self-proclaimed weather fairy guide, Jeon Ara, we were able to see Mount Fuji on the way back to Tokyo. It was a breathtaking view that we encountered after a long wait, making for an even more pleasant end to our trip 🗻. It was great that Guide Jeon Ara adjusted the itinerary according to the weather and on-site conditions, rather than sticking to the planned order. We were also grateful for her recommendations for delicious snacks at each location and her accurate guidance and explanations 💗. I realized that seeing Mount Fuji is more difficult than expected and requires a lot of luck (😅). Since the temperature is about 5 degrees lower than in downtown Tokyo, the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom and the weather will be warmer until late April, so it would be a good time to visit in April 🌸.

December 28, 2025: My first trip to Fukuoka with my family, we bought a package tour. It was my first time seeing snow in Japan, and we even had a small snowball fight. Our tour guide told us that the group from the day before couldn't make it up because of the snow on the ground. We were lucky today; although there wasn't much snow, it was still a great experience. The scenery in Itoshima was truly beautiful, and the coconut trees were lovely too. We had a lot of fun on the swings and it was also perfect for taking photos. The Ichiran factory is also a great place for an outing. For lunch, our guide arranged for us to eat Ichiran ramen. We heard it was the main branch, so we didn't have to queue outside with everyone else, which was also a great treat. Finally, at Miyajidake Shrine, enjoying delicious food and watching the sunset was a truly perfect combination. So happy, so happy!

We had a wonderful experience on this day tour to Kusasenri Grassland (Kusasenrigahama) and Takachiho Gorge.
Our tour guide, Daisy Wu, was very lovely and friendly. She speaks both English and Chinese fluently, which made communication very easy for everyone in the group. During each stop, she also recommended different local food spots for us to try, which was very helpful.
Originally, our itinerary was supposed to include Aso Crater as well. However, due to a recent helicopter accident and the ongoing rescue operations, the crater area was temporarily closed. Daisy handled the situation very well and brought us to an alternative spot instead.
Luckily, the weather today was very clear, so we were still able to see Aso Crater from Kusasenri Grassland, which made the experience even more special.
Overall, this is a highly recommended day tour. Thank you for the lovely keychain souvenir, it’s a nice memory from the trip. Hope to join another tour with Daisy again in the future!

Such a fun, cheap, and great experience! Very convenient as well. We met in Tokyo early in the morning, but it's a 2-3 hour bus ride from Tokyo to the first stop, so you get to squeeze in a little nap on the way. Zoe was our tour guide, and she spoke in both Chinese and English and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! She told us that Mount Fuji is clear only 70-80 days out of the year, and we were very fortunate to have a clear day on the 6th of March, 2026!
