Passeios por Chek Jawa Boardwalk

We used our $100 SG Cultural Vouchers. Great value for money. Seah, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful. It was a very educational and interesting tour, where we learned a lot about the flora, fauna, and marine life of Ubin. The tour included a 10-minute ferry ride, 2 hours of trekking, visiting the Wayang Stage, Headman House, and Toa Peh Kong Temple, ending in Chek Jawa, plus a half-hour walk on the Boardwalk. The return trip by van took us to a Seafood Restaurant for lunch, where we had squid, steamed fish, prawns, sweet and sour pork, and mixed vegetables. Our family of 6 (including one 5-year-old) enjoyed the food and the very well-organized tour. Thanks to Seah, Samuel (Manager, Otter Tour), and Klook for making it such a memorable and exciting family outing for us. Highly recommended to use your $100 Cultural Credit for this Ubin Tour.

Fantastic storytelling from Eugene and Jonathan, very impressed by their knowledge of the Changi Area! Highly recommended for everyone to sign up for this tour since it may get cancelled in the near future due to redevelopment of Changi by the government.

We are a family with children of mixed ages. Our guide was Joisse Chin. Prior to the tour, she sent WhatsApp information on where to meet, which was very useful – it may not be so clear on the Klook booking voucher. It was an excellent experience – informative and good fun. Joisse was well prepared with her photo cards – some history, some current behind-the-scenes information, and the personalized food tasting was added fun. We truly enjoyed this.

Tuvimos una tarde maravillosa con un clima inesperadamente agradable para una caminata intermareal con Wendy y Noelle. Llegaron temprano para encontrarse con nosotros y nos guiaron para avistar e identificar diferentes criaturas marinas que se encuentran en la zona intermareal. ¡Los niños de nuestro grupo se animaron y se convirtieron en buenos observadores! Incluso avistamos una familia de nutrias entrando y nadando en el mar. Disfruté mucho y creo que es una excelente manera de que los niños salgan a explorar y observar la naturaleza en Singapur.

We learned some interesting facts about Jewel Changi that we wouldn't have known otherwise. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but it could be more challenging.

He knows Ubin inside out, from the coolest plants to the quirkiest fun facts, and he made sure everyone was well taken care of. What a fun little adventure! Plus, we had a delicious lunch… super yummy!

A wonderfully thought out itinerary. It starts off a little slow with historical and local lore but I appreciate it's to lay the ground for context. Eugene and his late co-founder Jonathan has clearly invested themselves in uncovering some of the island's most compelling stories with research and interviews with first-hand or second-hand witnesses, and it makes for a riveting listen as he reveals the deeper layers of the hauntings. The walk begins to become really creepy midway with the abandoned buildings, and it's impossible to ignore their shadow of dread as they stand in the moonlight. Without giving too much away, some of the participants had their fair share of experiences with the guide ensuring everything was done in a respectful and safe manner. I wanted to listen in to a consolidated source for all the stories I heard growing up, and this was that and more - with stories and facts I didn't know about. Excellent tour.

We had a little trouble meeting up, but aside from that, the tour was great! If it's your first time in Jewel, the tour will help you discover different places and hidden eating spots with your guide. Thank you, Paul, who was our guide!
