Ethan was a wonderful guide and so well informed, not only on shamanism but also the history and culture of Korea. He emphasised having an open mind so you knew that the tour was a safe space! We were able to make a wish at the top of the mountain which was a lovely calming experience. Even if you are not a spiritual person, this tour will show you a new side to Seoul, you will be able to emerce yourself in nature, see beautiful views, learn about the history and stories of Korea.

I’m especially glad I included this tour in my visit to Seoul. It offered a different perspective on the city and introduced me to an important part of Korea’s recent history. Exploring the places associated with its path toward democracy added depth to my trip and gave me plenty to think about afterward. Gina made the experience especially memorable. Her explanations helped me follow the sequence of events and understand how the different locations fitted into the bigger story. I enjoyed discovering the significance of places I might have overlooked and seeing the city through a different lens. The subject matter was sometimes heavy, but that was also what made the tour worthwhile. It invited reflection and helped me appreciate the people and struggles behind modern Korea. For anyone who enjoys learning about the destinations they visit, this tour is a rewarding way to spend time in Seoul. My friend and I had such a lovely time on this tour yesterday! Ron was a great, enthusiastic guide with a great sense of humour. I think our group was a little shy, but he made a great effort to bring people together in the games which made them very fun. There was plenty of fried chicken, tteokbokki, and French fries to go around. There was also beer, soju, Pepsi, cider, and water- enough to fill up for on dinner. There were a couple vegetarians in our group, and I believe an extra effort was made to get them more food that they could eat. The night cruise at the end was also very lovely- the singer and pianist were fantastic. It was a really good night made more fun thanks to Ron. Much love from Canada!
