Coisas para fazer em Thoi Son Island

Incrível pequeno passeio pelo Delta do Rio Mekong, obrigado ao guia turístico Ryan, que é atencioso e interessante. Jornada muito gratificante, fomos visitar uma fábrica de balas de coco e um templo, experimentamos chá de mel, ouvimos música local enquanto degustávamos frutas locais e fizemos um passeio de barco pelo rio Delta do Mekong. Recomendo :)

The Mekong River and canal tour is super relaxing, and the scenery is beautiful for taking photos. I loved the experience of enjoying nature, seeing the snake, fish, and crocodiles, watching how products are made from coconuts, and even the rum was super nice! Just remember to bring what's recommended for the excursion (especially for the sun and to be comfortable on the boats). One lady wore slippery flip-flops and almost fell getting into the boat. It's a great excursion to disconnect and enjoy the day without rushing!

This full-day excursion was such a blast and easily one of the highlights of our trip! We had an amazing time exploring both the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. Everything was well organized, informative, and fun, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire day. There were so many little experiences included along the way. We had multiple food tastings, rest stops, and plenty of opportunities to grab coffee, snacks, and souvenirs without ever feeling rushed or pressured. At the Mekong Delta, we especially loved trying the different coconut samples and seeing how coconut is used in so many different ways. Our tour guide, Johnny, was amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable He kept the day engaging from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this tour to tourists or anyone interested in learning more about Vietnamese history, culture, and local life. You get to experience so much in one day, and it was 100% worth it!

Como estou hospedado em um apartamento e não em um hotel, fui por conta própria até o local de embarque. Havia muitos veículos e ônibus grandes parecidos no local de embarque, então fiquei um bom tempo zanzando por lá sem saber qual carro eu devia pegar. O guia desceu do carro, olhou o meu voucher e me reconheceu, mas como eu cheguei antes do guia, seria ótimo se me informassem o número do veículo com antecedência no dia anterior. David é o melhor guia, cuidou muito bem das pessoas do grupo, explicou tudo perfeitamente e garantiu que todos se alimentassem bem. Durante o tour, paramos em lojas de souvernirs e outros lugares, mas ninguém nos pressionou ou nos fez sentir mal por não comprar nada. Além das refeições, antes de pegar o pequeno barco para atravessar o Rio Mekong, pudemos parar em um lugar para comer frutas e descansar um pouco. Como estamos na estação chuvosa, choveu algumas vezes durante o dia, mas o David administrou o tempo muito bem para que isso não atrapalhasse o roteiro. Nos Túneis de Cu Chi, tive a oportunidade de entrar nos túneis e conhecer mais. Foi uma ótima aula de história sobre a Guerra do Vietnã, explicada de forma muito divertida. Para traduções longas e difíceis, ele usou um aplicativo de tradução adaptado para coreanos e chineses para garantir que todos entendessem perfeitamente. Ele é realmente o melhor guia.

This was my second tour of Thoi Son Island in the Mekong Delta, and once again, having a Japanese-speaking guide was incredibly helpful and informative for a Japanese person like me. Last time, I joined an English tour and was so focused on understanding the language that I couldn't fully enjoy myself. This tour's guidance is consistently provided in Japanese by a local guide. For the outbound journey, they pick you up at your hotel, but for the return, you can choose from several drop-off locations, including Ben Thanh Market. On Thoi Son Island, local workers may ask tourists for tips, but we were informed beforehand that we are not obligated to pay. There are so many unique experiences that you can't have in Japan, such as seeing beehives, interacting with pythons, and tasting fruits, royal jelly, and coconut water. I never get tired of it, no matter how many times I go. For lunch, we enjoy specialty dishes from My Tho City, and I believe they all suit the Japanese palate. Please note that while the food is included in the price, beverages are at your own expense. Beyond the numerous experiences unavailable in Japan, the Japanese-language guidance and the opportunity to travel with many other Japanese participants (which minimizes cultural gaps in group activities) are, I believe, the greatest hospitality for Japanese attendees. This tour does not involve the aggressive sales tactics often found with major travel agencies. While the Japanese-speaking tour costs more than the relatively popular English tours, I considered it a necessary investment for myself to enjoy Vietnam more fully.

Honestly, I thought our tour guide yesterday was already really good. But then Kelvin became our tour guide, and I was like, “Wow, okay, he’s definitely my new standard for tour guides!” 😂 You definitely won’t get bored the entire trip with him. We learned so much, and he was genuinely so fun to be around—you’ll definitely find yourself laughing because of him! He was also super helpful whenever we had questions, and he could spot us so quickly in the crowd. He constantly checked on us to make sure we were okay. He also insisted on taking videos and photos of us, which was such a nice touch! He was very approachable and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole tour. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this tour, especially if you get Kelvin as your guide! He really made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. 100000000/10! ⭐️😂

We really enjoyed this tour, especially because of our amazing tour guide, Puon. She was so kind, supportive, and thoughtful, always taking photos for us and sharing helpful tips to make our stay in Ho Chi Minh City even better. They even surprised my aunt by singing "Happy Birthday," which made the experience extra special. The tour was smooth despite it being a Sunday, and we loved the food, music, animals, boat ride, and unique experiences. Aside from a few grumpy coconut candy sellers, everyone was friendly. Just bring water because it can get quite hot. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Puon as your guide!

Ho Chi Minh City is in the middle of its rainy season, and I was worried about sudden downpours. However, thanks to the tour operator switching the order of the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels tours, we were able to avoid crowds and most of the rain. We only experienced a downpour at the very end of the Cu Chi Tunnels tour, allowing us to enjoy the rest of the trip. With the Mekong Delta tour, Cu Chi Tunnels, and a city bus night tour all included for this price, I think it's incredibly cost-effective. If you're looking for a Japanese-speaking tour, this is definitely the one to choose!

I feel that tour guide Ben’s enthusiasm, along with his deep affection and experience of Saigon, added real depth and lasting memories to an already wonderful and beautiful trip. It felt like chatting with a Vietnamese friend full of local wisdom, and I learned so much. I highly recommend this tour. My mother and I are vegetarians, and we were looked after very well. I also strongly recommend trying the local farm products here. They are the purest expression of the area and really show its special charm. If Ben ever leads other tours, I would definitely want to join them too!
