Hengchun snorkeling

O instrutor explicou tudo com muita atenção. Para nós, que foi a primeira vez fazendo snorkel, foi uma experiência maravilhosa. As crianças se divertiram muito e ficaram maravilhadas ao ver a rica e diversificada vida marinha. Tivemos muita sorte de conseguir ver tartarugas-verdes também!

The instructor was very patient and friendly, explaining in detail how to use the SUP. We didn't need to exert much effort while snorkeling either. The entire experience lasted over three hours, and I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Kenting!

Such a great experience, lovely and passionate people running the tour and despite the language barrier they were very patient, attentive and friendly. The instructor initially pulls you around when you are attatched to a float to show you to the reef and make sure you can use your snorkling equipment correctly; then you are able to explore for yourself. So many beautiful fish, not invasive to the environment (marine protected area) and a highlight was seeing a turtle. They even take a few pictures for you and upload to their Facebook for you to download.

I was a little worried because there were no Korean reviews, so I went alone. First of all, they spoke English perfectly and were incredibly kind. They even offered to retrieve my phone if I dropped it, and explained everything in detail from start to finish! Instructor Yuki checked everything related to safety one by one, which made the experience really enjoyable. I was so grateful for the photos, 1:1 instruction, and care provided for this price. Usually, the snorkeling I've experienced was just being handed goggles and told to go play, but here, if you swallowed water, the instructor would ask if you were okay and even explain each fish. If you're Korean, just book here, no questions asked. Highly recommended!!

The instructor named Hsuan was really amazing, he didn't panic and helped me really well when I encountered a slight problem. All in all I enjoyed the experience. Hoping to dive again solo the next time.

“The Excitement of My First Dive in Taiwan” My two children got their Open Water Diver (OW) certification in Hong Kong in July, and their first practical dive was here in Kenting. We initially went to another shop that had a lot of online ads and a large facility, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. Luckily, I had booked with Nanyung Diving! Nanyung's shop isn't big, but it's full of warm Taiwanese hospitality. They never rushed us, allowing us to take our time listening and learning. Coach A-Wei was incredibly friendly and gave very clear instructions; the introductory divers followed him. My children went with the experienced Master Tang-ge, who continuously taught them diving techniques and knowledge along the way. With them in his care, I felt at ease to enjoy my own underwater world! We didn't have plans for the next day, so we booked another morning dive with them. This time, the children went with Coach Long-Long, who meticulously searched for small marine creatures in the ocean for them to see. My older son said that once, the coach pointed to a pile of sand, and they looked and looked, not knowing what to see. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an adorable sea bunny! For these two days, the waves near the shore were quite strong! Since it was a shore dive (introductory dive), we couldn't walk into or out of the sea on our own. Fortunately, Coach A-Wei is strong and familiar with the terrain. Whether going out or coming back to shore, all we had to do was float and relax, and he single-handedly towed both of us safely to the center of the sea. We're so grateful for his hard work! As Master Tang-ge said: “The system isn't important; skill is!” Similarly, the shop isn't important; skill is! When I was diving with the other shop, I thought, “Oh my god! Is this all Kenting diving has to offer? So disappointing!” We are so thankful to the coaches at Nanyung for giving us a perfect experience! P.S. This was the best choice for this trip! The owner was incredibly kind and it was great that they could speak Korean. The diving instructor was also very friendly and took great photos. There were many beautiful fish, and the underwater world was amazing. For those coming to Kenting, you absolutely must try this! If you pay an additional fee, they also offer pickup and drop-off, so even those who don't rent a scooter can come comfortably. If I can come to Kenting again, I'd love to come back! Eu meço pouco menos de 1,60 m e sou o tipo de pessoa que fica completamente travada só de a água bater abaixo do pescoço. Já tinha tentado fazer snorkel em Phuket e Krabi e não deu certo em nenhuma das vezes, mas finalmente consegui em Kenting, Taiwan! O instrutor foi super atencioso e checou como eu estava se sentindo o tempo todo. Ele disse que, com sorte, poderíamos ver tartarugas marinhas, e nós vimos sete! O instrutor tira muitas fotos com muita dedicação! Só havia moradores locais e nenhum coreano... Gostaria muito que mais coreanos conhecessem e viessem para cá! Há armários com senha, as instalações de chuveiro são boas considerando que são ao ar livre, e eles têm secador de cabelo e até centrífuga de roupas disponíveis!
