Dongdaemun's SPALEX is the best! It's cheap, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is also incredibly easy to find. Dongdaemun Design Plaza is right across the street. You can find it immediately by taking the elevator down to the 3rd basement floor of the building. It's a good idea to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and scrubbing towel, as they are not provided. If you forget, it's convenient that they are sold at the entrance. For women, mugwort steaming is highly recommended! It costs 2000 yen. It feels incredibly good and makes you sweat a lot. After that, a body scrub is the best! On the 4th basement floor, there's also a food court, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and a resting area where you can relax. Going in the morning is recommended as it's less crowded.

There's a self-service ticket machine (with Chinese language option) next to the lobby on the 9th floor. The bathhouse only provides soap, and the hairdryer costs 200 Korean Won for 180 seconds of use. On the 8th floor, there's a food court (with self-ordering kiosks) and a public lounge area. The overall environment is very clean, and it wasn't crowded or noisy on the day I visited, making it very peaceful.

Excellent service, top-notch comfort. After a day of walking, a perfect massage revitalized me. The pressure was just right, and it was unexpectedly good. The foot bath was done while lying down, and my back was also massaged. The service makes you want to come back again and again. Kim, who greeted us, had first-class service attitude, was super polite, and provided many pleasant surprises. We were very happy.

It was a great experience, the therapist has a good knowledge about what she's doing. Me and my wife had very relaxing session. I will invite everyone who has intention to do skin care and massage in one session.

I had a great experience at Swiss Perfection in L'Escape Hotel. The hotel entrance is beautiful and the whole vibe is much more relaxing than the crowded Myeongdong spa scene. It's only one subway stop away (Hoehyeon/Namdaemun) or a short walk from Myeongdong, but it feels much calmer. We had 10am appointments, but they were actually ready for us by 9:45am. The therapists were nice and thorough; their English was good enough to communicate everything clearly. We got the Cellular Perfect Body Massages, which felt a lot like a deep tissue massage. The facilities are a huge plus—each room has its own private shower, washroom, and a Dyson hair dryer. They also give you tea and a small treat before you leave. Honestly, I'd recommend this over any Myeongdong massage place just to avoid the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds and get a bit more space.

Legit one of the best facial I ever done. Therapist is gentle and assuring. Facial was intensive and soothing. My husband even fell asleep. Skin was as least 2 tone fairer. Thumbs up and will definitely come back again.
