It was an amazing experience to be in the cruise overlooking the city but food is horrible. Not quite to our liking. The chicken and prawn are not fresh but the cruise was clean. We are just paying for the experience and to have the view of the city in the night.
We boarded at 8:15 PM and departed about 30 minutes later. Dinner consisted of three courses: appetizer, main, and dessert. For the main and dessert, we could choose from three options. The beef main course required an additional 15 euros, but it was medium-rare and very delicious. After the meal, I paid with a credit card, including the drink charges. There was also a paid service to take photos, but I didn't use it, so I don't know the cost. From the back of the ship, we could go up to the rooftop at any time to enjoy the scenery. Also, about 5 minutes after disembarking, it was just in time for the Champagne Flash, so I was able to take photos from the bridge.
Boarding starts at 8:15 AM, and the ship departs at 8:45 AM. The cruise ends around 11:00 AM. You can dine while also going up to the deck for photos. There weren't many guests today, so everyone was seated by the window. Initially, the boat sailed south, turning back near the Seventh University. On the return journey, it will pass by the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty before heading back to the pier.
The dinner wasn't as bad as some reviews suggested; perhaps it was just the presentation that wasn't as appealing. The complimentary mini baguette was delicious. Dinner consisted of three courses: the first appetizer (three items; the salad dressing was surprisingly good, and the duck breast portion was generous), the main course was substantial and tasty, and by then we were too full to finish dessert.
The meals on board are classic three-course Western-style, with an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. There are three choices for both the main course and dessert. The cruise offers wonderful views, and you can even see the Eiffel Tower sparkling on the hour!
Overall a great experience! Food was okay and staff was friendly. Points to note: 1. Do go up to the deck for the great view anytime! 2. Check the sunset time before booking if you look for the night view. 3. No tap water is provided, meaning extra pennies for drinks. 4. The cruise ends quite late at around 2330.
Although it was an evening flight, I had a comfortable time. The food wasn't exquisite, but considering the atmosphere, I think it passed. However, when boarding, I couldn't get on with the QR code issued by KLOOK. I had to inquire about my name and other details at the reception and was able to board after confirming my reservation. The reservation was made, so it was fine, but I was a little anxious while waiting.
Loved the Cruise, but service was random. "Is our table by the toilet because we are Asians?" "Yes, you may be right, sir" Was not sure if I should write a review, but my wife and I had a good laugh, so I hope you do too. After arrival and boarding on the ship, we were assigned the very last table in the room by the window, near a toilet and 3 or 4 stacks of chairs right next to us. So I could not figure out where to seat my wife, with a view of the toilet or next to stacks of chairs. So I asked waitress (1) to move us anywhere or at least move the chairs. She said, we will fix this. 5 minutes later nothing happened. So I went to the next waiter (2) and asked him to move us, he (2) said we will deal with this, no worries sir. 5 minutes later nothing happened. The ferry started taking off and they started taking orders. I told waiter (2) that we can pay, but please just move us, as all people going to the toilet, it is not a good place for dinner, and if you take the order now, it will be hard for you to manage later. I asked if it was because we are Asians, that's why we were placed here, and the response was, yes, you may be right sir :OOO. My wife had to calm me down and went to find the manager. Another waiter (3) told her, you can find him there, but HE IS VERY BUSY. So she found him and he immediately told her to take any available table :D So we moved, and told our waiter (2) that we moved. Other people took our place, glad there are people who do not mind and could enjoy our table. When food arrived, the same waiter (2) said, you moved, how can I deal with it now? And I had to tell him that 5 minutes ago I told him that it will be hard to manage after taking orders, and it is his job to resolve it, and not going around asking customers. That was the last nonsense. I guess that was culture shock, to get promised something that gets forgotten or neglected on the spot. Everything else was beautiful. Food was good.
A wonderful course dinner was prepared, accompanied by the beautiful night view from the Seine. The timing and the amount of food, right up to dessert, were just perfect, and the boat was even able to pass directly next to the Eiffel Tower. When we arrived, it was time for the champagne tower, so we were able to see it immediately after disembarking.
The meal was just okay, maybe I'm not used to it, but the scenery is beautiful, and you have 2 hours to really see the city's main attractions.
