The tour guide will help purchase tickets on-site. Unfortunately, the very top of the tower is not accessible today (possibly due to the large crowd). Although there's still a wait to buy tickets and go through security, the guide continuously shares the history and stories of the Eiffel Tower and interacts with the participants throughout the process. We happened to join the 3:30 PM session, and as we ascended to the second floor, the sun was about to set. We witnessed the transition from daytime to sunset and then to the night view, which was a fantastic timing. After reaching the first floor, you can continue with the guide to hear their explanations, or you can head straight to the second floor (we left the guide temporarily on the first floor to catch the sunset view). Once on the second floor, the guide will generally allow free exploration after their introduction. Although our booked tour included tickets to the very top, we unfortunately couldn't go up today. The guide will provide a QR code for us to apply for a refund for not ascending to the top. I highly recommend this tour!

To reach the 2nd floor from the ground, you'll need to climb 704 steps, which requires a bit of stamina. Remember to book the summit tour; you'll regret not going up for a little extra money once you've come all this way! From the 2nd floor to the top, you take an elevator. When I booked my tour, the package prices with and without the boat cruise were the same, so I opted for the one with the boat cruise. The boat tickets are sent to you via email. After you've finished your visit to the Eiffel Tower, you can go to the pier and use the tickets in your email to board directly. The boat tickets are valid for one year, so if you don't have time that day, you can go another day.

The Chinese-speaking guide for the day didn't show up. Fortunately, there was an English-speaking guide on site, so we followed them to complete the entire tour! What was even more unusual was that while we were browsing the souvenir shop, staff suddenly appeared and rushed everyone out. We later found out there was an announcement about an emergency, and the entire venue, except for staff, was evacuated! All I can say is, thankfully, we had already finished our visit!

There are two entrances for general tourists to access the Eiffel Tower area, one on the northeast side and one on the southwest side. The tour guide will be waiting at the southwest entrance, wearing an orange hat and with an orange flag sticking out of their backpack, making them easy to spot. After checking in, you will be assigned to different guides, who will then lead you through the entire entry process. On the day I visited, it was Christmas Day at 1 PM, and there weren't too many tourists. It took about 15 minutes of queuing before we started climbing the stairs. Upon reaching the first floor, the guide diligently introduced us to interesting facts about Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Thank you, guide Lenna! After the first floor, we continued our journey independently. We climbed the stairs to the second floor and then took the elevator to the top floor, where the wait for the elevator was quite long. It was extremely windy at the top, so be prepared for cold weather! As a side note, I had originally planned to take the RER C line from near Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower that day. However, after entering the station, I discovered that the RER C line only had trains every 20 minutes or so! Fearing I would be late, I immediately exited and took a taxi instead, which cost 13 euros. It wasn't too expensive, and fortunately, there was no traffic, so I arrived on time, allowing me to continue with this long-awaited itinerary!

The entire experience is great, especially the tour guide named Sagar. I was very impressed by his funny and interactive way of sharing the history of the Eiffel Tower.

This tour is highly recommended. We purchased tickets to the top floor and a boat ride. Although the second floor access to the top floor was temporarily closed, the company quickly processed a refund for the difference online. The tour guide was very lively and engaging in explaining the history of the tower, allowing foreigners to quickly immerse themselves and appreciate its grandeur.

The instructions for the meeting point were a bit unclear. The text mentioned the South Security Entrance, but the Eiffel Tower's actual signs are for Entrances 1 and 2. I had to ask around to find out where to meet. The instructions also said to arrive 30 minutes early, but when I did, I couldn't find any staff. It would have been better to arrive exactly on time. However, during the actual visit, the local guide's direction and explanations were excellent. From the history of the tower and environmental introductions to various related anecdotes, everything was very detailed, truly making one fall in love with this beautiful, classic structure.
