We were waiting anxiously for the confirmation message, which we received at 10 PM the night before. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire session: the perfect length of cycling to and from our homestay, the marketing and walking through the local market, exploring live herbs on the farm, the hands-on farming, the hands-on cooking, and the complete lunch afterward. The neck and foot massage was mild but still refreshing.
It was an eye-opening experience to visit the market, learn about their culture, and try buying all the raw ingredients. We also had a mini farming experience and got hands-on with cooking. We felt a great sense of accomplishment when we had the chance to eat what we cooked, and the food was extremely delicious and appetizing! We enjoyed a four-course meal and ended with a massage! Our guide was very friendly and kept chatting with us! A MUST-GO IF YOU ARE IN HOI AN!
Na took us through Hoi An's food market, explaining the items required for the meal we'd later be preparing. Her English was excellent, and she answered all our questions, not only about food but also about Vietnam; it was incredibly informative. I wish we had done the tour sooner! What's more, we learned about some of the farming practices, got to plant some crops, and she taught us all sorts of cooking techniques. It was a lovely experience! We ended the day by enjoying the food we prepared and ate by the breezy river, followed by a nice massage. I should note that Na did a wonderful job of incorporating our 3-year-old daughter into the tour, keeping her involved and entertained, which is no easy feat. She somehow did all this while also capturing great moments with photos, which she also sent to us after the tour. We had a great time and would certainly recommend doing this tour. If not for the wonderful food eaten on the tour, then for the braided food she also fed us. Thanks again, Na!
I literally just love the experience in Tra Que village with Naan. She was so helpful, smart and kind that my sister and my mother were able to enjoy their time there. The cooking class includes not only the 'cooking' part, but also the local market experience and a foot massage (which was realllllllly nice). If anyone I know goes to Hoi An, I will not hesitate to recommend it. 😍 Really loved it! The Tra Que Village cooking class was such a wonderful experience! I chose it because I didn't want to ride the basket boat, and it turned out to be a very fulfilling and great experience, including visiting the local market, exploring Tra Que village, enjoying lunch by the river with a view, and a foot massage. It's not entirely indoors or entirely outdoors, so if you go in the summer, it might be a bit hot, but it was a great activity that even I, with almost no cooking experience, could easily follow. They also gave us a recipe book so we could recreate the dishes after the class! I keep thinking about Naan's dog and the eight newborn puppies ㅠㅠ They were so cute... Anyway, if any of my acquaintances go to Hoi An, I would not hesitate to recommend it! It was so good 😍❤️
Ana Mae (spelling?) and Ruby were great tour guides through the market. Riding through the rice fields on bikes and getting to see water buffalo was a fun way to travel. When we got to the farm, we were able to smell and identify some new herbs that we had not heard of before. Na’s cooking class was so fun and informative. We got to enjoy our delicious food by the river, and it was so peaceful. Ending our day with a quick massage, fresh fruit, and tea was great. Thank you to everyone involved. We had such a great time. We also have some great pictures and videos to memorialize the day.
Wonderful experience with a lovely guide who was very informative about the market. Also able to have hands on experience on farming, and learnt how to cook multiple dishes!
Một trong những trải nghiệm yêu thích của chúng tôi ở Hội An, đồ ăn siêu ngon, địa điểm đẹp và trải nghiệm tuyệt vời. Chắc chắn phải thử.
I was worried because I was told I would receive a call about hotel pickup the day before, but it never came. However, they arrived on time, and I was grateful for their help in exploring Hoi An Central Market and buying spices, sauces, and rice paper. I wondered what Tra Que Village was, but it was great to see the farm run by the village and discover vegetables that are hard to find in Korea. Learning to cook and eating by the river was absolutely wonderful. While we were eating, two women came to wash their large basins, and I wondered, "Are we getting a massage here? Will it be refreshing?" I had my doubts, but getting a massage with the breeze was pleasant, and the pressure was good. I walked quite a bit, but it relieved my fatigue and was an enjoyable time. If you're looking for a cooking class, I highly recommend it. Nha, the host, is also very kind.
We had an amazing experience!! Na speaks excellent English, the market tour was interesting and diverse, and the cooking workshop was professional. We had a fantastic meal and enjoyed it very much! most recommended!!
We had a wonderful morning with Na. She was very experienced and efficient with great English conversation. She explained so much about Vietnamese food and culture. We were welcomed into her village and home. The location next to the river for lunch was relaxing. Thank you so much Na and we highly recommend your service to anyone visiting Hoi An.
