This was one of the best things I have spent my money on. Going on the cruise was such a great way to tour Chicago and actually learn about the history and culture of the city through its buildings. The guide was very much a showman and truly made something educational truly fun. The views are incredible and a must for everyone going to Chicago.

Booking the Chicago Architecture Cruise on Klook was absolutely the best decision of this trip! The 90-minute cruise sailed along the three branches of the Chicago River, with stunning skyscrapers lining both banks. Our guide, Liam, was incredibly professional and humorous, making the history of Chicago's rebirth after the 1871 fire, and the art of modern steel and glass structures (like Marina City and Willis Tower), fascinating even for those unfamiliar with architecture. The views from the boat were excellent; it was convenient to enjoy the breeze and take photos on the open upper deck, or relax in the air-conditioned lower cabin and grab a drink. I highly recommend this classic tour to all first-time visitors to Chicago – it's not to be missed! (It would be even better if multilingual commentary were available in the future.)

The guide was entertaining and informative! He introduced the special architecture of Chicago with different styles, designs and history. It was very enjoyable!

The boat tour lasts 75 minutes, traveling along the Chicago River to the Northwest Branch and back, then to the South Branch and back, and finally heading east towards Lake Michigan for distant views of the city. Taking the 7:30 PM tour to see both day and night scenery is highly recommended.

Although it's a standard tour, it's a must-do when visiting Chicago. The history behind each building is explained in detail, and the guide was actually quite humorous 😆. However, be mindful of the weather; it was super cold when we went in early May 🥶.

This time, I purchased the City Pass online (3 attractions), and I highly recommend participating in the architectural boat tour. Chicago's skyline, led by its tall buildings, is truly beautiful, and the various architectural styles and concepts are captivating. I highly recommend this tour! The only thing to note is that it can be very windy during the tour, so be sure to wear a jacket!
