Our experience with the Kumamoto Castle & Josaien Kimono and Yukata Experience was very enjoyable overall, with the Klook booking process being smooth and convenient, making the activity easy to access and manage. The pricing feels reasonable considering both the cultural experience and the beautiful historical surroundings included. The facilities were clean, organized, and tourist-friendly, with staff assisting properly during the kimono and yukata dressing process. Staff were polite, patient, and helpful, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the activity. The highlight was walking around the Kumamoto Castle and Josaien area while wearing traditional Japanese attire, which created a very authentic and memorable atmosphere. The experience also offered great opportunities for photography and cultural immersion. Overall, it is a unique and worthwhile activity for travelers wanting to experience a traditional side of Japan.

The shop was easy to find, and the staff were very kind. They were patient and friendly throughout the communication process, quickly helping us change into kimonos and providing us with photos as souvenirs. Be careful, as the contact between the shoes and socks can be a bit slippery.

I purchased the kimono rental service (with a complimentary Suizenji Jojuen Garden ticket) at Wa Collection Mito through Klook. I also added hair accessories. The price was reasonable, and the staff member was incredibly kind and polite. Even with a language barrier, she made a great effort to communicate with us using a translation device, ensuring we understood everything. Five-star rating!

The auntie who helped with the yukata and the uncle who took photos were very kind, but it might be necessary to remind them about the tote bag and socks included in the fee (or the Kumamon fan in summer). Although the weather was really hot, the experience was still quite good.

Wearing a kimono is beautiful, but it's such a hassle. With wooden clogs, you really can't walk far. When we went, it was one day after heavy rain, and the temperature was already not ideal for wearing a kimono. It's better to go in winter.
