Vinhedo de Penedes de 4WD com Tour de Vinho, Cava e Tapas

This was a small group tour of no more than eight people. The weather was beautiful that day, and taking a 4x4 to visit the winery was a very special experience! The winery's history is rich and fascinating. Exquisite snacks were also provided during the wine tasting, which were delicious! It was a rare opportunity to explore the underground cellar... Highly recommended for wine lovers! My favorite was the Cava Rosé! After the tasting, there was no hard selling, which is commendable! The only downside was not being allowed to take photos in the Cava underground cellar, but that's understandable...

We arrived at the designated location at the specified time in the morning. The meeting point was a travel agency, where we first had to register with the receptionist. Once everyone had gathered, the receptionist led the group to the tour bus on a nearby main street. There was no tour guide on the bus, but the driver took the participants directly to the winery entrance. Upon arrival, winery staff immediately came out to greet us, so not having a tour guide with the group was not an issue. The day we participated, April 23rd, was Saint George's Day, an important festival in the Catalonia region, so traffic was very congested in the morning. Otherwise, the receptionist said it usually only takes 45 minutes to reach the winery in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. The itinerary included visits to two locations. First, we visited a winery that produces Cava sparkling wine, where we toured the cellars where Cava is stored. The underground cellars were intricate and labyrinthine, like being in a military bunker. At this winery, we tasted four types of Cava. Afterwards, the driver took the group to a vineyard owned by the same winery owner. There, we rode in an open-top jeep, traversing the beautiful and expansive vineyards, observing the winemaking equipment, and tasting two white wines and one red wine. At both locations, different winery staff provided detailed explanations of the equipment, the winemaking process, the aging process, and the characteristics of the wines we tasted. This activity is highly recommended for travelers who want to experience a winery tour. It offers the opportunity to learn about Catalonia's unique sparkling wines while also understanding the winemaking process for red and white wines. Regarding transportation, although there were only five people in our group, a tour bus capable of carrying about 20 people was arranged, so it was quite spacious. The meeting point was near Passeig de Gràcia, about a 5-minute walk from Verdaguer station. The itinerary was rich and eye-opening. The winery guides were also very humorous and friendly, happy to answer any questions. Overall, if you have time, it's a worthwhile experience. It's worth noting that although snacks like cheese and ham were provided during the tasting, the portions were quite small, and it was already 3 PM by the time we returned to the city center. If you're concerned about hunger or drinking on an empty stomach, it's best to have breakfast beforehand. Additionally, when riding in the open-top jeep, as it's an outdoor setting, it's susceptible to weather changes, so it's advisable to prepare appropriate clothing according to the weather.

Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso en el recorrido por el viñedo. Fue un recorrido en grupo pequeño con una presentación detallada sobre los tipos de vino y la historia del viñedo. Nos quedamos realmente asombrados por la hospitalidad de los viñedos locales y los vinos/cavas impresionantes que probamos. No hubo venta agresiva de vino, pero el cava era demasiado bueno para dejarlo pasar.

¡Es un viaje genial! El viñedo es sofisticado, la bodega es enorme, aunque dijeron que solo es de tamaño mediano. Probamos 4 cavas, 2 blancos y 1 tinto; el cava y los blancos fueron impresionantes.

Highly recommended! It's a small tour with professional introductions. The winery is about half an hour away, offering a vast and beautiful landscape completely different from the city. There are two tasting locations, combined with a comprehensive guided tour, making for a very layered experience! Highly recommend it!

The introduction to the winery is super detailed. Full of history. You can taste wine, red wine, and Cava. There are also some chocolates that are very delicious. The winery is truly unforgettable. I must commend the winery staff; the entire tour was excellent. You even get to ride in a jeep. Extremely high value for money. The best part: They don't try to sell you wine at all. If you like something, you ask them yourself.

highly recommend!! the tour was so great that provide various wine and food, most of all good explanations for the vineyard and regional history. the experience was comfortable and the price is fair.
