The staff at the museum were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and went the extra mile to answer my husband and I’s questions. Overall, we highly recommend the Australian National Maritime Museum to anyone visiting Sydney. Definitely a must-see!

I went at 2 PM because I heard the closing time was 4 PM, but some boats closed a bit earlier. If you want to take your time looking around, you should go at least 3 hours beforehand. There's more to see outside than inside. It was great to be able to thoroughly explore the real retired ships. My sons found it very interesting, and the explanations provided were helpful (even if they didn't fully understand everything).

A maritime museum well worth visiting. The ticket includes a tour of warships, offering a rare opportunity to board modern patrol boats, destroyers, submarines, and ships from the Age of Sail. The museum also features exhibitions and plays short documentaries about World War II, making it excellent value for money. It is recommended to allocate at least 2 hours for your visit. Going in the morning or at noon is more suitable, as ship tours close as early as 1 PM, and the museum itself closes at 4 PM. On weekdays, there aren't many people. Buying tickets on-site is similar in price to Klook. There's a restaurant inside, but prices are slightly higher than outside. If you wish to rest, you can choose to sit there for a while.

This should be a must-see in Sydney where you may see ships with historical backgrounds and cultural importance. Also it allows you to get inside the ships and see how seamen worked and lived on board.

The Australian National Maritime Museum is a unique museum where you can visit the HMAS Onslow submarine and the HMAS Vampire destroyer, and then go into the museum to see other exhibitions. You can easily spend 2 hours in the museum. It's a place you need to visit to understand Australia's maritime history.
