Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand em Hua Hin

Wildlife Friends Foundation cares for more than 800 animals. It has Thailand's only specialized wildlife hospital, an elephant sanctuary, and a tiger rescue center. WFFT actively campaigns against illegal wildlife trade. Guests are divided into three groups, each with a guide. In the first stage (early, before lunch), after a short drive through the facility, you walk around, observe animals, and receive detailed information from the guide about various rescued monkey species, bears, etc. In the second stage, elephants, tigers, otters, etc., are visited. Finally, there is elephant feeding. It's a wonderful feeling to know that the animals are being helped and have a dignified life.

This was an incredible experience and one I would book again with zero hesitation. It was amazing to see the hard work that WFFT is doing to rescue and care for some of Asia’s most vulnerable species. Some of these animals have had incredibly challenging lives, and hearing about the work WFFT does to try and rehabilitate these creatures was very, very moving. I’d also like to commend WFFT on the delicious lunch, excellent guide, and safe and swift pickup/drop-off service.

Trotz einiger kleiner Nachteile sind wir sehr froh, dass wir dort waren und würden es jedem empfehlen, der ethischen Tiertourismus in Thailand unterstützen möchte.

It was an interesting and very informative tour. The guide told us a lot about the foundation, its origins, and its goals for the animals. It is not a zoo or a park; it is a sanctuary for the animals. We got to feed the elephants, which was fun. Remember to bring mosquito repellent and plenty of water, as you will walk around the woodland areas, and it gets very hot and humid. We had a good time and would recommend it.

It was really very interesting and touching! Our guide was super informative and explained a lot. Very beautiful enclosures and lots to see, and above all, animal-friendly and close to nature. We can only recommend it! One thing wasn't optimal, but okay: the group was a bit too large with 25 people. You often had to ask questions or sometimes missed things.

There's not much Chinese information about this place, but luckily I signed up for this tour. I was able to understand how this animal sanctuary operates and learn that there are many illegal animal breeding operations in Thailand. I saw how they strive to rescue injured wild animals and those from illegal breeding, including many bears, tigers, leopards, civets, deer, monkeys, and otters. They all receive excellent care and suitable environments, and animals that can be released back into the wild are actively trained for survival. Finally, this introduction was an all-English tour, but the guide spoke quite clearly and understandably. Highly recommended!

A very good experience, highly recommended for everyone visiting Hua Hin. Please avoid foolish activities like elephant riding or taking photos with tigers.

Un lugar excepcional para visitar. Muy informativo. Los animales están bien cuidados. Desde que nos recogieron hasta que nos dejaron, el personal fue atento y educado. No tuvimos ningún problema. Tenga en cuenta que gran parte del tiempo de caminata, que no es agotador, se realiza bajo el sol. Probablemente no sea la actividad más adecuada para niños, dependiendo de sus edades.

I highly recommend visiting the Wildlife Friends Foundation when you visit Thailand. It is a rescue center and is only a 3-hour drive from Bangkok. It was, in fact, the highlight of my trip when I visited the country last August. The tour was a close encounter with the rescued animals. You also get to help and do volunteer work by feeding the elephants. I mean… look at those elephants in the photo. :) Thank you very much, Klook!
