When we went to play, there was a detailed pre-trip explanation. Many essential items and shoes were also available for purchase or rent on-site. Remember to apply sunscreen, or you'll still get sunburned even with long sleeves on a cloudy day. The day we went, it was overcast and rainy, and the river was at a medium-low water level. Our two boats had a great time, and the coaches even created many waves for us. The coaches helped take photos, but unfortunately, most of them weren't very clear. Luckily, we had brave teammates who risked jumping into the water with their phones to take many pictures for us, but if your phone jumps in, you're responsible! The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the coaches also advised on safety at a few rapids. At the halfway point, there were delicious zongzi and a small shop where we could buy food. The changing room was very clean and well-equipped. This place is really far from Hualien City. Fortunately, there was a shuttle bus available for an additional charge. The driver was also very humorous and fun. The whole experience was great.

Super fun! It's truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it's best to assess your own physical condition before coming to play. There's a high chance of falling into the water and hitting reefs! You must wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes at a minimum. Throughout the process, the coach will also be very attentive, always looking out for us. Every time they saw us about to hit a cliff or when the current was extreme, they would give us a push to a safe path. It's better to have a few men in the team, and teamwork is very important! After playing, there are free showers and vegetarian zongzi. This was a great experience! 🤗

If you're traveling with family (including seniors and children) or if you're a woman with less physical strength, we recommend choosing the "Upward Star" raft. It requires less effort to paddle, making it a top choice! The round-trip shuttle service is very convenient, perfect for scooter riders exploring Hualien! You can sleep on the bus and go rafting when you arrive. My travel companion has sensitive skin, and after rafting, experienced some allergic reactions. I suggest showering immediately with soap after getting ashore. Additionally, be sure to wear sun-protective clothing; it gets incredibly sunny! Even wearing long sleeves and long pants, I still got very tanned. It's also recommended to bring a waterproof phone pouch, spare change, and a change of clothes. After getting ashore, there are multiple shower rooms, spin dryers, and a small shop available for use and purchase, which is super convenient~ Just be quick to grab a spot! Especially for travelers who booked round-trip transfers, as the departure time will be announced after getting ashore, try to rush to the shower rooms as quickly as possible to secure a spot (the women's section fills up very quickly...)

There is a shuttle bus service available for pick-up and drop-off at either Hualien Transfer Station or Dongdamen Night Market. Upon arrival, if you need any rafting supplies such as clothes or shoes, you can purchase them on-site. On the day of our trip, the water level was low, so for one section, the coach linked the boats together and towed us. At the end of the activity, there are washing facilities provided with shampoo and shower gel. The spin dryer and hairdryer are coin-operated. Finally, there are small snacks like zongzi available.

Boating was more fun than I imagined. Because I was afraid of getting sunburned, I was almost completely covered. When the water wasn't so turbulent in the middle, everyone would splash each other, and attacking other boats was very interesting. What I deeply appreciated about this trip was how patiently the operator's customer service staff helped resolve issues! My car unexpectedly had a problem, and I almost missed the 11:00 AM session on June 24th! The operator said it was fine and extended it by half an hour! They even offered to reschedule if I truly couldn't make it. In the end, I managed to arrive just in time and successfully participated in the activity! Throughout the process, I also felt the operator's dedication and commitment to safety, which made my family of four (including my children) very happy (even though we shared a boat with another family of four)! The only slight imperfection was that some safety personnel, perhaps being overly diligent or too concerned about our safety, directly rammed our boat without even blowing a whistle! At that moment, I lost my balance, resulting in a slight neck strain (I wore pain relief patches for almost two days) and some scrapes on my leg! However, I'm grateful for the operator's emphasis on safety, allowing us to complete the activity safely! I wanted to share this with everyone! This rafting operator offers fun and safe activities! I would choose them again if I have the chance!

Although the water level was medium-low, there were still a few small rapids, and the water battles between the boats were intense and fun! We even saw muntjacs along the way, and the scenery was beautiful! We departed at 9:00 from Hualien Transfer Station on a tour bus heading up. At the end, there were plenty of shower rooms, so we had ample time to not only shower but also eat zongzi and enjoy a popsicle given for filling out a Google review! The life vests had high collars, the helmets had brims, and with long sleeves and long pants, the sun protection was quite good. The only part that got tanned was the small gap between the bottom of the long pants and the shoes, and the tan line was a bit exaggerated 😅! I definitely want to participate again next time!

I took my kids to play there in April and found it very exciting, so this time I specifically invited colleagues to go rafting in Hualien. This time, I prepared raincoats and phone cases in advance. The experience was quite thrilling because the water level was high after the typhoon. A woman fell into the river but was fortunately rescued quickly by the coach.

The day before, the rafting staff from Xiangshang will contact you regarding the meeting time, location, and important notes. The coach's explanation was very clear. The boat model, Xiangshang Star, is truly excellent. For that particular session, only our family of four purchased the Xiangshang Star, so we had one boat for four people. You can sit completely inside, which is very comfortable. It's not easy to capsize when encountering rapids, and it offers great protection when hitting rocks.
