Excursão Privada de Meio Dia pelas Ilhas de Panglao

It was a great experience for us. We saw dolphins, and the best part was snorkeling: we saw a variety of fish and the only turtle we encountered. We had a very good guide underwater taking GoPro photos. Virgin Island was not impressive because there is private property that does not allow anyone to walk on the beachfront. The overall experience was excellent, and we enjoyed the tour.

Super worth it! Our van met us at McDonald's Alona to take us to the port along with other tourists. You'll have your own private boat for island hopping, and you get to decide where you'd like to stay longer. First stop is dolphin sightseeing. At first, of course, I hoped we'd see dolphins, so I asked our guide, Ate, from the start what the chances were. She didn't make any assurances but mentioned that hopefully they would show up as they are considered wild animals. Lo and behold, we saw a lot of them in different places afterwards; they were like playing with all of us! It was breathtaking!!! Next stop was Balicasag, where we met another Kuya (Anthony) who took us to the snorkeling area. You could see how excited he was to show us the Pawikan (sea turtle) every time one was spotted. The third stop was Virgin Island (another beautiful island to behold). It has a white sandbar, but since it was high tide when we got there, we decided to just stay on the island where our children could enjoy swimming. 💗

From the driver to the boatmen and our snorkeling guide, everything was a 10/10. When we went, it was very windy, the tides were high and the waves were strong, so we didn't get to see any dolphins or visit Virgin Island. The boatmen were very apologetic about not being able to do any of those activities, but we already understood that beforehand because it all depends on Mother Nature. It was my first time snorkeling, and we had very good guides with us. We also opted to rent a GoPro, and our guides captured wonderful pictures and videos of us and the sea creatures! I am very satisfied!

Took this in July amidst rainy season. Picked up comfortably by a sedan with a friendly driver. guides are helpful. didnt get to see dolphins due to the weather. saw sea turtles and small fishes while snorkling. we enjoyed it even with the gloomy weather.

Kami ay pinagpala na makapaglayag sa tahimik na tubig at perpektong panahon, lalo na ang makakita ng mga dolphin! Bagama't hindi namin nakita at nakalakad sa sand bar ng Virgin Island dahil high tide pa noong umaga, nasiyahan naman kami sa napakalinaw na tubig para sa mababaw na paglangoy :D. Ang tanging hiling lang namin ay magkaroon ng iba pang aktibidad para sa mga hindi mag-snorkeling. Gayundin, ang kalidad at presyo ng mga seafood sa isla ay maaari pang mapabuti. Salamat Klook sa maayos at ligtas na biyahe na ibinigay ninyo sa amin. Ang aking pamilya na mga senior citizen ay nasiyahan sa mga tanawin at paglalakbay sa kalikasan.

We were picked up at our Airbnb around 5:45 AM. We waited a little over an hour at Panglao Port for the coastguard to clear the boats to go to sea, as there was bad weather (it had been raining since early morning). We departed at around 7:15 AM from the port. There were no dolphins anymore. There was no sandbar at Virgin Island as it was very high tide due to the rains. However, it was still a nice stop before the turtle and fish snorkeling at Balicasag Island. The waves were quite strong, so it was extra tiring. But the water was still clear, and it was really nice seeing many turtles and fish. Renting a GoPro for 1200 was worth it to have nice pictures. They have an efficient process for transferring the pictures to your phone (no internet needed). It would be nicer if you had fins so you could swim deeper with the turtles and fish.

We had a great time and felt so special as we had a big boat for the three of us. We were able to watch the dolphins, see the pawikans, and enjoyed snorkeling with schools of fish around us. I received the pickup information the afternoon before the tour. The driver arrived at the hotel on time. We departed from Panglao Port on a motorboat with the boatman. The boatman helped with our luggage and even lent us earplugs. We might not have seen dolphins, but we saw almost two or more groups of dolphins up close! The boatman communicated well, asking if we had enough watching time or wanted to see more. When we moved to Balicasag, there was another snorkeling guide. Joseph was so fun and friendly! He even spoke a little Korean, haha. He kept taking pictures, guiding our poses, and thanks to him, snorkeling was enjoyable throughout! We even met two turtles. You can buy lunch at Balicasag, but the food was expensive and not very good. It would be better to pack your own food. Since it gets cold on the boat after snorkeling, bring a beach towel. Your belongings on the boat are unlikely to get wet, so feel free to bring whatever you want. At the next stop, Virgin Island, you can freely take photos and look around, then return to Panglao whenever you wish. Virgin Island was too crowded, and there wasn't much to see beyond the scenery, not as much as I expected. Both the boatman and the guide were the kindest and most fun guides I met in the Philippines, so I gave them a lot of tips, haha. Highly recommended!👍🏻

You can also bring snacks to eat on the boat.

The experience was truly breathtaking. We booked the day before, very early in the morning, but didn't receive any message or instructions until very late in the afternoon, which was quite stressful as we didn't know where to go or what to bring. Hotel pick-up is only included in the fee if you are within their location; otherwise, you have to pay a van fee of ₱600. We arrived at the drop-off location a few minutes before 6 AM but had to wait since the guide wasn't there yet. We were lucky to chance upon a group of dolphins and had fun dolphin "watching" (aka dolphin chasing 🤣). Balicasag Island looks like a typical diving island, but the reefs and marine life close to it were a feast for the eyes. We also followed a sea turtle into the deeper parts of the reef, which was pretty amazing. Virgin Island was beautiful with its long sandbars and occasional mangrove bunches. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
