Great day tour, English speaking guide. Fast and smooth speed boat to island. Magnificent lunch provided. Snorkel & mask provided for snorkeling, but no flippers. Pick up and drop off to hotel. Free time to explore island. Good facilities…
My recent trip to Cham Island (07:30-15:30) was nothing short of rejuvenating. The bus took us from each hotel and journeyed around 45-50 minutes. We then took a small boat from shore and cruised towards the island. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped by the island’s serene and unspoiled charm and breathtaking beauty. Crystal-clear waters shimmered under golden sunlight, while gentle ocean breezes carried the scent of salt and blossoms. The locals welcomed me with warm smiles and genuine kindness, offering their localities at competitive prices. We first had a short trip to the local sightseeing (lucky well, buddha temple, school). Communication in English was a bit of a nuisance with our guide, however he overcompensated through his facilitating attitude. We then took another motorboat to go snorkeling on a coral coast where we stayed for 20 minutes. The sea floor was breathtaking. This coral reef isn't just a destination—it’s a feeling. It rekindled my sense of wonder, reminded me of nature’s quiet power, and gave me a peace I didn’t know I was missing. We then headed out with the boat to a near tavern, where we tasted certain local, fresh delicacies (lunch price included, see photos). The picturesque environment, the clean and full of sand beaches urged us to dive again. Finally, we enjoyed a coconut fresh drink down by the beach chair. I left with my heart full and my spirit renewed, already dreaming of the day I’ll return.
After about 30 minutes of exploring Cham Island with the guide, we'll do some snorkeling. Then, we'll move to the lunch spot to eat and relax on the island until around 2 PM. Lunch is just okay. If you want to relax on a sunbed, you need to order a drink. I heard that Korean tour companies have parties, but I prefer quiet, so just relaxing isn't bad. For those who enjoy parties, a tour with a Korean company might be a good fit.
5 estrellas, definitivamente.
For the first hour of the trip, it wasn't very clear what was happening, as there was only the driver who didn't speak English. But at the pier, a guide joined us, and it became comfortable! A pleasant, unhurried tour, an exciting speedboat ride, 45 minutes of snorkeling, a delicious lunch, and free time to swim on a beautiful beach.
We saw many fish while snorkeling, and the lunch was delicious. Both the guide and the shuttle driver were kind and friendly, making it an enjoyable experience. The beach itself had a lot of washed-up trash, which made us aware of environmental issues, as it was trash we had discarded.
This is a rare island to visit. Not many people visit it, and it's recommended if you want to relax and chill.
My friend from the US, visiting Vietnam for the first time, was very excited to join this tour. We are very satisfied with Klook's service.
I was picked up at the hotel. We picked up about 20 people from various other hotels. We're going to the pier near Hoi An. Someone picked up just us and handed us over to another English-speaking guide. When we got there, there were about 5 Korean teams, and a total of about 30 people, half Vietnamese and half foreigners. We took a speedboat to Cham Island. We got off and toured Cham Island. It took about 45 minutes to see the museum, shops, and temples. We got back on the boat and were taken to a beach about 10 minutes away. Those who didn't want to snorkel got off, then we went to the scuba diving point to drop off the divers, and after that, we went to the snorkeling point. Snorkeling was safe, and the fish and coral were beautiful. It lasted about 30 minutes, and there were various fish. It's not like the Philippines, but it was fun. We came back to the beach for lunch. The shrimp, scallops, and fish with rice were delicious. We rested on the beach for about an hour, had some drinks, and then took the speedboat back. We arrived at the pier and were handed over to our respective bus drivers, which took a long time because they were all different. The bus was full, and it took some time to go around to each hotel, but the bus was cool and comfortable, so I enjoyed the scenery on the way. The total travel time, including transfers, was 8 hours.
Our guide worked very hard. Before snorkeling, they explained the village and its history. Our children kept asking when we would go to the sea ㅠㅠ. After about 30 minutes of exploring the village and temple, we went snorkeling. The snorkeling spot was quite deep, but it was great to see so many fish. I just let my body float in the life jacket, haha. I even saw a blue starfish, so lucky! LOL. To give you a rough idea of the itinerary: after hotel pickup, we traveled for over an hour to get to the speedboat (it seemed like we were heading towards Hoi An) - before boarding, only adults were given card-type tickets, which you insert to enter - then we boarded the boat with the guide (the speedboat was so much fun!) - explored the village and temple (about 30 minutes) - boarded the boat again (to move to the snorkeling spot) - snorkeled for about 30-40 minutes, then moved again by boat - had a meal - took the boat back to land - and finally, were dropped off at the pickup location.
