Experiência de Gravação de K-Pop em Seul, Destacada pelo NYT (desde 2015)

It was a great experience! Not only do you get to enter a real recording studio that has been used to record kpop tracks, but you also learn so much about what goes into making a single song, as well as the various roles involved. We went in a group of 2 and I really loved getting to act as the recording engineer for each other. Aiden was an awesome teacher who provided so many good tips and even greater insight into the making of songs. Love that he also praises us when we happen to do well 🤣. From now on, I will definitely be taking note of the names behind the recording and mixing of the albums I buy. If you love listening and looking out for the details and dynamics of kpop songs, or just music in general, this is definitely something you have to experience! To King Studio: Though we may not sing amazingly well 😅, thank you so much for making it such a fun and comfortable experience for us 🥰

We went to record the H2H Style with three children aged 7, 9, and 11. First, I was truly surprised that we could communicate entirely in Japanese with the help of the interpreter. The vocal trainer also provided professional guidance on pronunciation and vocalization, making it feel like we were watching K-Pop idols record! I was also deeply moved by the representative's meticulous and thoughtful consideration. Although we ran significantly over schedule, I am grateful for their efforts to create something excellent until the very end. The audio data we received immediately is a treasure, with the children's hard work beautifully recorded. I am also looking forward to the revised audio. If we have another opportunity to visit Korea, I would love to come back. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Attention! King's Studio has more than one branch. Please make sure to go to the address provided in the email! (I just searched for King's Studio and ended up at the wrong branch, which delayed me by 30 minutes. However, the staff were very kind and gave me some extra time, which I really appreciate 😅) There were three staff members: a vocal coach, a Chinese translator, and an audio editor/photographer. The translation part was quite a surprise to me—it turns out that if you choose Chinese, there will be a live Chinese translator! I originally thought it would just be a translation machine or something, so I hesitated for a while about whether to switch to English (because Korean-to-Chinese translations can sometimes be inaccurate). Luckily, I chose Chinese in the end, otherwise, I might not have understood some of the technical terms even in English XD Regarding the recording, what impressed me the most was that the harmonies were recorded separately—even if it's the same pitch and rhythm, after layering two more vocals, the sound becomes much richer. I always felt my singing was a bit different from the original singer, and the difference might be here; I just hadn't noticed it before. Also, the teacher's singing is really beautiful! About 5 minutes after the recording is completed, you can get an initial edited but unmixed raw version, made into a small CD and placed in an exquisite box. Later, you will also receive the final mixed and mastered version, which I'm really looking forward to! Additionally, before recording and while listening to the edited version, they will also help take photos and videos to capture these wonderful memory moments ♥️

¡Es el día más feliz de mi vida! 🤩🤩 Un sueño de toda la vida se hizo realidad y es gracias a King Studio. Siempre quise estar en un estudio de grabación para grabar una canción favorita de 2NE1, guiado y producido por los mejores de la industria. Jinny es la mejor mánager que puedes tener, es muy paciente, amable y divertida. Muy, muy solidaria, asegurándose de que lo haga bien. Mi director vocal, Jae Wook, se toma todo muy en serio, asegurándose de que haga un muy buen trabajo. Fue muy paciente, entrenándome en el tono, el ritmo y la enunciación y pronunciación de las letras coreanas para que sonara perfecto. Y el señor Aiden, como productor, me animó a crear un sonido y un estilo propios (incluso cuando sueño con voces como las de CL y Bom, jajajaja). «Haz tu propia versión», decía. My family and I have absolutely no singing experience or talent, but Aiden, our vocal trainer, and other staff were so supportive and helpful during the recording process. We started off with some vocal warm-ups and scales, and then went to the recording booth. During the process, we were coached on how to project our voices and how to sing certain parts for the best effect. We were able to listen to the first draft of the song at the end of the session, with the fully completed version to come in about 2 weeks. The entire experience was fun and enlightening, and we really appreciated all their efforts. We also received a physical CD of our first draft at the end of the session, along with various goodies like water bottles and stickers to take home. I would highly recommend this experience.

Kings Studio experience was great for my son. The producer was very encouraging and built his confidence. He was also very patient, providing many takes until the recording was perfect. Highly recommended for those who want an experience of what it feels like to be a K-pop artist recording.

Recording here was so much fun! The team was very professional and coached me through each step of the way. They were very encouraging and gave helpful feedback. I'm really happy with how the song turned out, and I love the gift box that was included. I highly recommend this experience :)

It was my first time recording a song and the experience was just really mind blowing! Everyone there was incredibly warm and friendly, which made me feel so grateful. They took such good care of me during the session, like dimming the lights when they sensed my nerves and reminding me to hydrate. The team's professionalism, particularly with the manager's clear English interpretations, made collaboration effortless, and it was really eye-opening to see the amount of effort and detail that goes into the backend work even after the recording. Kudos to the team for valuing our opinions for post-production as well. Highly recommend! ❤️

I had such a blast during my session and learned many interesting info. I was super nervous but everybody was very kind, encouraging and professional and eventually the nervousness went away. I am still cringing over how I did but they always found a way to increase my confidence. I got to admit they all have patience of a saint dealing with my shortcomings. Anyways, highly, HIGHLY recommended! I am already planning for my next session ❤️
