A wonderful experience! You can learn about the history of pearls and gain more information about them. The staff explained everything in great detail, shared a lot of relevant information, and even offered to help with photos. The environment is beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommended!
The person in charge explained clearly and had a friendly attitude. The pearls are beautiful, making it a rare and wonderful experience. I will recommend friends to join; it's a lot of fun.
The Pearl Classroom explanation was clear and easy to understand, and the cultivated variety is the Japanese Akoya pearl. Learning the technique of opening an oyster by hand to extract a pearl and making your own favorite jewelry, while also not wasting the oyster meat which can be used as fishing bait, makes for a fresh and interesting experience.
Fantastisk opplevelse. Guiden var veldig kunnskapsrik og vennlig. Damen som lærte oss å lage perletilbehør var også veldig vennlig og hjelpsom.
Although the fee was quite expensive, due to it being a weekday, there were fewer participants, so the experience was still good. The staff were very attentive, and their explanations were clear. They were also able to answer participants' questions, and I was very satisfied with the final product.
Visit Hong Kong's only pearl farm to see pearl cultivation and create your own pearl jewelry. This trip is not only educational but also allows you to make your favorite pearl jewelry as a souvenir, which is wonderful. Many thanks to the workshop staff for their attentiveness and hospitality! 👍🫰
This workshop was actually very informative. I think the whole process was very well organized, and there were options for both Chinese and English. In the end, I successfully made a beautiful piece of jewelry that I'm proud of. You might think you don't need to spend $680 to buy something similar, but this time, for $680, you're buying memories and knowledge. They even teach you the entire cultivation process, and there are stories to listen to. It's also a great activity for adults to bring their children to!
It's only a ten-minute boat ride from the pier to the fish farm. Upon arrival, the staff first explained the origin and development of the pearl farming industry and how pearls are formed. Then, they taught us how to open oysters to extract pearls and make jewelry. The process was very novel. The staff were also very friendly and happy to help with photos. Since it was the 1:45 PM session, it was almost sunset when we finished, accompanied by beautiful scenery. The environment at the fish farm was excellent, with clean sofas and facilities. For entertainment, we could also go fishing, which was very interesting. I support more local eco-tourism activities.
We took a boat to the fish raft, where someone explained the history and types of pearls. Afterwards, they demonstrated how to cultivate pearls, followed by opening oysters and making jewelry. The staff throughout the entire process were very nice. My pearl was too small and would fall out of the square frame, so they helped me add some wire around it, and the finished product turned out great! Finally, we did some fishing and took photos before taking the boat back. The whole experience was a lot of fun, and I learned more about pearls and Hong Kong's seawater.
