Went to the pickup point and one guide drove us to join another tour bus, not a direct pickup like other tour agents, which was not very comfortable, although the guides tried to cheer us up. But their company's arrangement is not good. The 1st stop was to admire the colorful peninsula bathing boxes along the beach, then to Murray's Lookout Point. We continued with a long drive to the Peninsula Hot Springs. Many pools to enjoy. Please note that the lockers are small. A$10 each.
Brooke, the tour guide, is very nice and lovely. We first went to Mornington Bathing Boxes and stayed for 40 minutes. Then she brought us to Murrays Lookout for 15 minutes. Lastly, we stayed almost 5 hours at Peninsula Hot Springs.
The tour guide is super nice and it's a small group trip. You can enjoy the hot spring for a long time. However, I would recommend that more time be spent at the bathing house (only 30 minutes on this trip). There isn't enough time to explore more. But I would recommend this as a nice trip for people who love hot springs! So relaxing!
This one-day tour is highly recommended; the tour guide was very friendly. The weather on August 16th was sunny with a temperature of around 13 degrees, and the hot springs were excellent. The crowd at the site was manageable. I suggest renting a bathrobe on-site, and remember to bring your own slippers (if you forget them, you can purchase them at the main entrance - please note that the tour group enters through the rear entrance). The tour fee includes admission and a towel rental. If you have time, make sure to visit the mountaintop of the hot springs for some beautiful photo opportunities! Don't forget to bring your credit card, and before departure, be sure to have a waterproof bag to protect your phone.
It wasn't too crowded on weekdays, the place is very spacious with many pools. It's quite different from Japanese onsens as it's completely outdoors, offering a unique experience. Ladies who are concerned about sun exposure should definitely apply sunscreen to their faces. On the day I visited, it was winter, around 14-15 degrees Celsius, and soaking in the water was incredibly comfortable, though my body did get a bit tanned.
Tour guide Mark was very friendly, explained things clearly, and was happy to help guests with any issues. He was able to adjust the itinerary according to the actual weather conditions. Originally, he planned to visit the Brighton Bathing Boxes first, then Murray Outlook, and finally stay at the hot springs ♨️. However, due to strong winds, heavy cloud cover, and potential rain today, and some traffic congestion on the way to the Mornington Peninsula, after visiting the Brighton Bathing Boxes, we went to the hot springs first, and then finally to Murray Outlook (the weather in the afternoon was better than in the morning, and the visibility was clearer). There was ample time at the hot springs area to try soaking in different pools.
I have been to tour of seeing penguins, puffin billy, and ocean road. I would say this hot springs is better than puffin and ocean road. I come from Japan, and I have never seen such big, comfortable, cozy hot spring facilities even in Japan. I highly recommend this tour!
You can relax and slowly soak in different hot spring pools and enjoy the facilities in the park. There's no need to rush in and out. You can soak under the trees or in the sun, whichever you prefer. If you get hungry, you can also grab a bite at the coffee shop.
The hot springs are great fun and a must-visit! You don't need to bring your own towel as they are provided. You can also rent a bathrobe for an additional $15.
This activity only includes the Peninsula Hot Springs, not the cable car. I confirmed this with customer service. I'm a bit confused, so I'm also reminding those who are planning to purchase. It was perfectly fine. The temperature on the day I went was around 11-19 degrees Celsius, which was very comfortable. There are also saunas and three-temperature baths. The temperatures are generally not very high, with only a few reaching 40 degrees. The hot spring with the best view has a 10-minute time limit, so please be aware of that. Only shower gel is provided on-site; please bring your own hairdryer, shampoo, etc. The tour guide does provide towels, but it's still recommended to bring an extra one to dry yourself after showering, as the provided towel usually gets wet from the hot springs. You will be changing vehicles, so all luggage must be taken off the bus. When returning, the tour guide's bus will be parked outside the store; please go directly to the parking lot to find it. The tour guide did not actively come into the store to look for passengers this time. The Peninsula Hot Springs has a rule that photography is only allowed for personal use, so I'm sharing some photos of the queue and scenery.
