Look made it very easy. I just showed the attendant my QR code from the app and was provided the tickets to present at boarding. The ferry ride was absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The time at the marimo observation room was about 15 minutes. It was too short to read all the displays but I just took snapshots to read later. All in all it was a great value for the experience.
Smooth ferry ride on the beautiful lake in summer. Easy to redeem voucher with the staff at the pier.

A tour of Lake Akan takes approximately 85 minutes. Along the way, you can also disembark on a small island to see the marimo, a unique spherical algae found only in Lake Akan. The entire boat trip on Lake Akan is very comfortable, so if you have the chance to visit, be sure to take a boat tour of the lake.
The lake tour is truly beautiful. Before reaching the green algae, the boat will cruise close to the shore. After the green algae, it will return at full speed, so I highly recommend choosing a seat on the right side. You'll need to exchange a voucher, and it might be very fast early in the morning. The price is cheaper than buying in person.
Lake Akan has two piers where you can board and disembark. The boat will first cruise along the lake, offering commentary, though unfortunately, it's only in Japanese. Afterwards, there will be a stop of about 20 minutes at the Marimo Museum island, where you can observe the marimo's formation.
