De Hoi An: Aula de Culinária, Passeio de Barco Cesto de Coco e Lançamento de Lanternas

The instructor was very friendly and bubbly, providing help whenever we needed, never forcing us to do anything we didn’t want to. The food we cooked was extremely delicious, simple and fun to make. The five courses (not including dessert) were simple but paired very well together and I liked that I was able to tweak each dish to my liking (saltiness, spiciness, etc.). The only thing to be careful about is the flambe of the bahn xiao to make it extra crispy as the fire is quite big and the hot oil my spurt but even if you get scared, the instructor takes over for you very quickly and you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. The coconut boats were very fun, with the opportunity to fish for crabs and spin to oppa gangnam style while wearing vietnamese hats. We went to take the latern boat at sunset and the views were breathtaking as you had the sunset on one end and could watch the river start to light up as the sky darkens. Overall, great experience and extremely worth the price!

Highly recommended! I learned a lot in the cooking class and ate a lot, but the QR code for the recipes wasn't working, and we had to move to the coconut boat, which I found a bit boring. Overall, it's worth the money!

The organizer was prompt in reaching out for the pickup location. All the activities were well prepared and fun, we all had a great time. A bottle of cold water was provided in the heat, which helped us cool down after the market visit.

We really enjoyed this Klook tour - especially the cooking class. The dishes were easy to make and all tasted great! Coconut boat and river boat rides were fun too. Package includes transport so it was very convenient for us

The cooking class was amazing and the highlight of this tour. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the cooked dishes ending up tasting a lot better than expected, even better than some restaurants in Hoi An!

An experience worth paying for. The founder of the cooking class WhatsApped us the day before to check our hotel name and agreed to pick us up from our hotel, even though it was outside their usual pick-up range. The van arrived promptly to collect us. They changed the schedule to do the cooking class first, as they said the weather was too hot (our original time was 1:30 PM). They took us to the wet market, where an English-speaking local showed us and bought some of the ingredients we would be using for our cooking class. Since they changed the cooking class timing, it meant we had to eat at 4 PM+ instead of having it as our dinner, so we were too full (as we had already had lunch). The cooking class was fun, even though it was very fast. By the way, the class was held in a non-air-conditioned place. Then we went for the coconut boat ride, which included crab fishing. We were then driven to the Old Town to release lanterns from a boat. Please find shop no. 114 to get the lanterns (we were not informed of this beforehand).

Our guide was very lovely. We had a great time at the cooking class, and the coconut boat ride was unique. The lantern boat ride was beautiful at night.

The food was amazing, and there was so much of it. I can't wait to take the recipes home to try them. The coconut boat ride was a lot of fun too.

This tour was truly excellent, and the food was of good quality. Everything was very enjoyable to do. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, and her English was excellent.

The coconut boat ride and cooking experience were both great. The female tour leader not only explained the food culture but also transformed into a chef to teach us how to make Vietnamese dishes. The car arrangements were a bit chaotic, with constant regrouping at different attractions. The driver dropped us off outside the ancient town and told us to walk to the place where we would release the lanterns on the water. There were too many people releasing lanterns, and we had to wear life jackets, which made the scene completely unappealing. 😂
