Excursão de um dia de safári no Parque Nacional de Yala saindo de Ella

Apart from the trip, what I appreciated was the communication from the local provider. The driver and guide, Mr. Kosala, was great.

Al principio, nos decepcionó que el operador turístico cancelara nuestra reserva de las 5 de la mañana la noche anterior a las 9 de la noche (por correo electrónico) debido al Año Nuevo de Ceilán. Esta es la razón principal por la que no fue una experiencia de 5 estrellas. Nuestro guía turístico, Thisaru, fue absolutamente increíble. Se encargó de recuperar un objeto que había olvidado en mi hotel y fue fantástico al sortear un elefante gigante en la carretera. Pudimos ver búfalos de agua, ciervos, elefantes, diferentes especies de aves y algunos cocodrilos pequeños. Nada está garantizado, así que nos sentimos afortunados de haber tenido un día tan bueno.

The arrangements were excellent, and the local travel agency kindly answered all my questions via WhatsApp. We rode in a relatively tall safari jeep throughout the trip, but don't expect to see animals up close, as there are designated roads within the national park, and they don't get too close to where animals appear.

Thank you for the wonderful guide! Since it was a private tour, they kindly stopped the car whenever I wanted to photograph an animal. Also, thank you for showing us a leopard, even though the chances of seeing one are low! Thanks to you, I had a wonderful time!

Our driver picked us up from our hotel in Ella at 5am. He was very friendly and helpful. We arrived to meet our safari driver and got into Yala National Park at around 7:30. Our safari driver shared a lot of interesting information about the animals we saw. We were very lucky to see two leopards, a family of elephants bathing, and lots of other interesting animals. We spent around 3.5 hours driving around Yala, which was plenty of time to see lots of different things. We also paid an extra fee (60 USD) to be dropped off in Galle instead of back in Ella. Overall, the trip was great – just be aware you will need to pay for the entrance fee to Yala, which was about 11,000 rupees. Would recommend.

The tour guide was excellent and very diligent in finding animals. The park visit time was ample, a great experience, and the waterfall stop on the way back was also beautiful!

The route to and from Ella is not very smooth; it's recommended to go to and from Matara instead, which would be more suitable. As for the itinerary itself, there's nothing to complain about. Seeing animals is entirely up to luck. It's a pity we didn't see any leopards, but there were still many animals worth seeing.

We couldn't find the leopard, but the guide tried their best to find them for as long as possible. The driver was nice too! Thanks!
