Tour Gastronômico Vegano de Meio Período no Mercado Gwangjang

Jungho was such a great guide providing important information about how foods are prepared that may have unknown meal based additions in seemingly vegetarian foods. He is personable and our group had such a great time together. He even worked with me on the level of spice I could handle. I highly recommend this tour if you are vegan or vegetarian or even love meat but want to try veg options. Save room for the yummy donuts at the end!

Because his family is vegetarian, tour guide Jungho meticulously sought out a variety of delicious and authentic Korean street foods in the massive Gwangjang Market. Following his footsteps through the market, you realize how incredibly difficult it is to carefully compare and avoid animal-derived ingredients. This would be impossible without love for his family. I'm delighted to have been the first Taiwanese person to participate in this tour. The main dietary design for this tour is Western vegetarian; friends who avoid the five pungent spices can inquire beforehand.

This was such an excellent tour. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan in Korea, you’ll know it can be a bit of a challenge to find authentic korean food. But this tour was a fantastic opportunity to explore the market and enjoy delicious Korean food. We tried a variety of Korean staples like gimbap, bibimbap, and mung bean pancakes (with rice wine for those wanting to try!), and more! I really enjoyed spending the evening with Jungho despite the cold, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in trying authentic Korean cuisine 🥢

The tour with Jungho was a blast! We had the best time with him and the group tasting and trying delicious foods and drinks. He even invited us to a special kind of rice wine 🍶We highly recommend the tour and there was more than enough food for everyone. Thanks so much for the fun evening!

This tour exceeded my expectations. Jungho was a great guide. He explained the history of the market and found some exceptional places for vegan food. Learning about the food and customs was great too. The food was amazing. I particularly loved the tteokbokki, but it was all great. I would definitely recommend this as a must for vegans and vegetarians in Seoul!

Lots of delicious vegan food as well as drinks. Jungho gave us lots of interesting information about Korean food and culture. Very well organised and overall a fun way to experience the market. I enjoyed it very much.

We had a wonderful and delicious experience at Gwangjang Market and we firmly believe that this was made possible because of our amazing guide. Jungho was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and well-organized. He guided us seamlessly through the maze of vendors and got us food super fast. The selection covers so much of Korean cuisine, including typical drinks and dessert. Along the way, we learned about life in Korea, drinking etiquette and traditions. It was fun, delicious and all of us got plenty of food (come hungry to this tour!). We highly, highly recommend taking this tour with Jungho. 😊

We tried so many Korean specialties and honestly left completely full. It was a great way to experience traditional Korean flavors in vegan versions without worrying about ingredients. Our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really fun. He explained the dishes, the culture behind them, and took us to great spots we would never have found on our own. We loved everything about this tour! Jungho was a great host, teaching us lots of fun facts about the Korean food culture and the food was soooo good! You could really feel all of the hard work he had put into finding vegan food at the market (not easy in a meat-centered cuisine like the Korean!). My sister and I had a lot of fun with the group and even ended up at a karaoke with some of them after the tour! I can really recommend going for this tour if you're vegan/vegetarian or just curious about vegan food in Seoul.
