The food is good, the location is near the port. Performance was good, just that the makeup and hairdo were a little too rushed. Come early if possible. There are also self-photo booths.
The concept was to enjoy a banquet while dining, but it didn't meet my expectations. The food wasn't great for the price; the taste was just okay. The performers put on a good show, but I didn't really connect with it... I found this place thanks to Gaode Maps, but it seems like it would be hard to find when the days are shorter. It's on the 3rd or 4th floor of a wedding hall, which is actually the rooftop. It's one of several wedding halls. At first, I thought I had come to the wrong place because there were no people and the signs were hard to find... But it's not complicated, and if you look around a bit, it's surprisingly easy to navigate. The address is ShandongQingdaoShibeiGangzhou Road Youlun Mugang Passenger Transport Center Building 3.
I debated whether or not to upload my personal photos, but I decided to. I was really satisfied with the experience. There was a wide variety of clothes, and I loved the hair accessories. You can choose an outfit and change in the fitting room, and if you're not familiar with traditional attire, the staff will help you put it on. Overall, the clothing wasn't worn out, and the colors were vibrant. I heard it's because this place hasn't been open for long. For hair, a highly skilled staff member takes care of it, usually in less than 10 minutes per person. I wondered if one person working alone could manage everyone, but they produce amazing results at a fantastic speed. It was great. However, they don't apply false eyelashes or heavy makeup like the 'Wanghong experience' popular in Korea these days. They just tidy up your eyebrows, perhaps? Still, I think being able to enjoy a performance and a meal while wearing traditional attire is a unique experience. If you're considering it, I highly recommend trying it. Also, there are quite a few Koreans there, so I suggest you be a little bold when taking photos, haha! Oh! The performance starts at 6:30 PM, but I recommend arriving by 4:30 PM, or 5:00 PM at the latest. If you arrive late, many of the pretty clothes will be gone, and you'll also need time to take personal photos. Honestly, I debated between Lanchi Yanfu and Guanfu Yan. I heard that Lanchi Yanfu has more professional performances, while Guanfu Yan has splendid interior facilities, is relatively new, and is the place to go if you want a clothing experience, so I chose Guanfu Yan. Never experienced anything like it before! There was food, performances, and role-playing – a truly rich experience! The setting was also meticulously arranged. I booked a dinner course with a meal and VIP seats. This was the most anticipated part of my Qingdao trip, as it was a schedule full of Chinese characteristics and a story. Our accommodation was right in front of the May Fourth Square, and it took about 20-30 minutes by taxi. The taxi driver dropped us off right in front, so it wasn't difficult to find the entrance, and there were arrow guides on the floor leading to the entrance of Guanfu Banquet, making it easy to find. Honestly, the course meal itself was just an interesting experience. I hope it can improve a bit more next time. However, the stage interior, lighting, and the dance troupe's performance were excellent. There were more Chinese people than I expected, and occasionally Koreans and other foreigners. The MC also hosted games in between, giving out prizes. My companion was randomly selected, and when they said they couldn't speak Chinese at all, the MC cleverly moved on, and the progress was very smooth. If I ever go to Qingdao again, I think I will visit again. It was good, especially since I went with my elders. Oh, and if you're going to book, I recommend VIP seats if possible. It's not that the general seats don't offer a view of the stage, but it's definitely different. The performance was superb!
It is easy to get there and back to my hotel in Shinan using Didi (I was concerned at first). A very beautiful experience that completed my Qingdao holiday.
