It was fun, but because it was cold, others didn't join, so it was just me and the host. He was nice and explained the traditional way to eat KBBQ well. I would recommend it if you're traveling solo, as you can't eat at those places alone. The place we went to was in the old central part of Seoul, close to the building in the second photo and the river in the third.

We loved this tour! Our host was Alex. There was our group of 5, and one other. Communication was great, we knew where to meet. Alex was a wonderful guide letting us know about the area as we walked to the restaurant. At the restaurant Alex helped us share the best ways to enjoy our KBBQ, my favourite was the pickled radish, sauce, garlic, chive kimchi, delicious! I would really recommend this tour to give you that friendly local food experience where it feels like you are eating with friends.

Jin was a great guide to KBBQ. He took the time to explain the side dishes and how Koreans "normally" eat the food. He also explained a lot about the culture behind the food and why Koreans love it so much. He was also very helpful in getting my grandmother's phone back when she forgot it at the restaurant 😂

This was definitely a must-try in Seoul! Our tour guide, Jay, was very friendly and provided the best experience ever!

For a solo traveler, this was the perfect opportunity to not miss out on a quintessential Korean dining experience. I'm so grateful to Thomas for hosting us and truly enjoyed the company of a lovely small group of people from all over the world. It was my first time trying something like this, and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

This experience was good and I do love a Korean BBQ. It was a small group lunch. The other participants were friendly so it was nice to chat and find out where they were from and what they had done/were planning to do in South Korea. The guide was friendly but maybe not that enthusiastic about it all that day. Overall a good experience and the food was great.

Alex has been a great guide, and we had a very pleasant time eating Korean barbecue and talking about all sorts of topics. The time was very enjoyable, and we went to a super local, non-touristy place near Lotte Tower. I highly recommend taking this experience to learn how to eat and combine the meat accompaniments. Also about drinks. Alex was very kind and attentive to the whole group.

We had a great time - it was a venue we might not otherwise have gone into, and it was fun sharing the experience with other people. Our host left us to our own devices a bit (the restaurant staff kindly intervened!), but that may have been down to the size of our group. Tasty food and great value for money.

Our guide took us to a local restaurant that tourists usually don't visit. It was a yakiniku (Korean BBQ) restaurant that I wouldn't have been able to enter alone, and we ate delicious pork with fresh vegetables. Korean cuisine often comes with many side dishes, so it's often hard to know how to eat them or what they are, but our guide Alex kindly taught us everything. Most importantly, the food was delicious! Alex's recommended way of eating was superb. He also taught us about Korean culture and customs. He speaks a little Japanese. Highly recommended!
