I visited the Gold Coast about ten years ago during my training, so when I thought of it, I usually only thought of places like Sea World and Wet'n'Wild. But while searching, I found a crab catching tour that looked fun, so I booked it. And it turned out to be the best thing I did on the Gold Coast! Just one thing! On the way to Tweed, the time jumped forward by an hour at the border! It gave me quite a scare. When I made the reservation, I had to choose 10:30 AM, so I planned to arrive by 10 AM. But on the way, 9:30 AM suddenly became 10:30 AM! I was completely flustered! I arrived around 10:40 AM, but the boat had just departed to feed the pelicans, so they came back for us. It might have been because there weren't many teams, but it would be good to double-check before you go. When booking, you select 10:30 AM, but the detailed information says 9:30 AM, which can be confusing. Anyway, the tour was the best!!

I booked the Gold Coast crab catching tour with Klook. The participants were mainly tour groups from Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, with few individual travelers. The entire trip lasted two and a half hours, including feeding pelicans, pulling up crab pots, catching small creatures in the mud, and fishing. The captain was witty and humorous, ensuring there was never a dull moment. However, the so-called 'crab catching' was merely pulling up a pot that I believe had crabs placed in it beforehand, but it was still a very interesting experience. The seafood platter I purchased separately was of average quality, and the crabs were not fresh, clearly inferior. I hope there will be improvements in the future.

It was a fun experience and a lot was achieved in 2.5 hours. The guide was knowledgeable, and we had a wonderful time feeding seabirds, pulling up crab cages, and pumping yabbies for fishing.

The overall experience was good, and the staff's explanations were clear and engaging. The children had a great time. The only downside was that we ordered a seafood platter, and the crab wasn't fresh. Personally, I don't think the seafood platter is worth ordering; the food quality was very average. If you're just looking for a fun experience, it's highly recommended.

Another highlight of the tour was fishing in the local waters. Each participant had the opportunity to try their hand at catching fish. The crew was incredibly helpful, providing bait and instructions for those of us who may not have much experience with fishing. I ended up catching a nice-sized bream, which was exhilarating! It felt fantastic to connect with nature and learn new skills in such a beautiful setting. Throughout the trip, we were offered plenty of refreshments, including delicious snacks and drinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, encouraging camaraderie among the participants. I loved chatting with fellow guests and sharing stories of our catches. As the day progressed, the crew demonstrated how to cook and prepare the crabs we had caught. They even engaged us in a little taste-testing session, which was absolutely delicious! Savoring the fruits of our labor after a day of crabbing and fishing made the experience even more satisfying. One of the aspects I appreciated the most was the emphasis on sustainability. The crew talked about responsible fishing practices and the importance of preserving marine life for future generations. It was refreshing to see a company that genuinely cares about the environment. Overall, the Gold Coast Catch a Crab and Fishes tour exceeded all my expectations. It was a perfect mix of adventure, education, and relaxation. The staff were fantastic, the scenery was breathtaking, and the memories we made will last a lifetime. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun day out on the water! We really love this activity so much! However, it's quite a drive from where we stay. The whole experience is fun and exciting, especially when we were catching the yabbies. The guide shared a lot of knowledge about the animals and everything. My son managed to catch a fish and he said it was the best experience he ever had! The crab was sweet as well. Delicious! Will definitely go again!

Amazing experience with a lot of fun activities. However, it is a bit far from Gold Coast CBD, so make sure you arrange your transport in advance. It is convenient to book with Klook, quick and easy to use.
