For someone like me, whose understanding of vegetarian food is still limited to the temple-style vegetarian dishes, the vegetarian options at Guo Ran Hui truly opened my eyes and refreshed my palate, both in terms of variety and taste. This was especially true for the 'beef' noodle soup without actual beef, which was almost like molecular gastronomy. However, since most dishes are mushroom-based, those with gout should be mindful when visiting.

The food choices are incredibly diverse; I never imagined vegetarian food could be so delicious. Purchasing through Klook allows you to book a time slot, and upon arrival at the restaurant, you can register and enter directly, which is extremely convenient.

The food selection is extensive, but the location is a bit remote; it's a 15 to 20-minute walk from the MTR station. It's inside a large shopping mall, so you can browse around after your meal.

In 2023, I went to Taipei's Fruitful Gathering with a few friends who aren't vegetarians, and everyone loved it. This time, I felt disappointed with the Fruitful Gathering in Kaohsiung. The first glass of freshly squeezed juice was excellent, but the second glass, perhaps due to a lack of juice, had too much ice and was completely unpalatable. The first time I had watermelon, it was normal, but the second time, it was completely room temperature, and the taste seemed a bit strange. Other food items were also quite ordinary. Perhaps some improvements would make it better.
