Passeio Clássico de 2 dias em Emei Shan e Leshan, Sichuan

The venue was amazing and stunning. I traveled as a solo foreigner and joined their local tour. Most of the time to Emei Shan was like hiking. Even though there was a cable car, it didn't reach directly to the venue. There were a few more miles to go up by staircase. Hotels were actually between the cable car station, and there were only two 4-star hotels. One hotel was at the common stop for coaches. The other hotel was almost 1km away, requiring a hotel coach. Their 4-star hotel rating was different from hotels in the city. The bed came with an electric warmer, but the toilet smell was not favorable for me. The next day, we also needed to go up and down by staircase. I think the package suits those with good knee fitness. There were a few elderly people in my group tour, and I felt sorry for them as they focused on their knees while going up or down the staircase. They had a short duration to rest as they felt guilty if they couldn't catch up with the tour. The food was okay if you weren't picky. Do bring a raincoat and shoe covers if you can.

It's quite far from the city, requiring two bus transfers. The condition of the second bus needs upgrading. However, the transportation arrangement is still good. The tour guide and driver are excellent and will contact you the night before. The tour guide is heartwarming and cheerful, providing good explanations. The itinerary is good and very well-priced, but it could be improved by skipping some shopping promotions to save time and avoid awkward situations for the tour guide. Overall, everything is average, so far so good. In my opinion, this itinerary is not recommended for those in poor health or seniors aged 65 and above, unless they are athletes, because the itinerary is tough and involves long distances, especially when climbing up and down the mountain. There are no elevators, etc. Even after climbing for an hour and taking a cable car, you still need to walk up again. However, there are people offering stretcher services, which are very pricey with no fixed price, depending on bargaining. We started at 5:30 AM and only arrived at the Golden Summit at 1 PM. We were given one hour for free and easy time to take pictures, etc. Even though it was only a short time there, it took half a day to get there. But it was still worth it to see the view and scenery. For those who wish to see the Golden Summit, I highly recommend taking the Klook itinerary. Please do not try to go on your own; it's not easy. You should have contacted to make an appointment in advance and should have informed to bring essentials such as rain gear, as some people are traveling from overseas and if they don't inform them in advance, they won't be able to bring them. You should also inform them of the temperature in advance.
