Our day trip to the Badaling Wall and Ming Tombs was fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Mr. Yang. He wasn't just someone reciting facts. At the Ming Tombs, he felt more like a storyteller, making the history of the emperors and their resting places come alive. He also quietly clued us in on the little things you'd want to know—like where it's respectful to be quiet or why you shouldn't take photos in certain spots. It wasn't scary, just thoughtful, and it made the whole experience feel more meaningful. Then, at Badaling, he gave us just the right amount of info before setting us free to tackle those incredible, steep steps at our own pace. The views were breathtaking, of course, but having Mr. Yang's insights in our back pocket made the whole day so much richer. It was the perfect mix of a personal guided tour and your own adventure.
Today is Saturday, and we joined a one-day tour to Badaling and the Ming Tombs. We met at 6:50 AM at the Huapu Building, a short walk from Exit A of Chaoyangmen Subway Station. Our tour guide was Guide Yang, and there were probably over 40 of us today. Guide Yang had repeatedly reminded us via WeChat last night not to be late, as the scenic areas would be crowded on a Saturday. Fortunately, all the tour members were very punctual and arrived on time. We went to Badaling early and decided to take the cable car up to North Tower 6 at our own expense. Guide Yang had already collected the payment from us on the bus, and as soon as we got off, he went to get the cable car tickets for everyone, so we could go straight to queue for the cable car without wasting time. Our guide was very thoughtful, experienced, and knowledgeable about history. After descending from Badaling, we also opted to visit the pedestrian street to watch a 50-minute 'Old Beijing' performance, which was excellent. Afterwards, we had a group meal, a standard buffet for $30 per person, which was quite good. Then, Guide Yang took us to Dingling to visit the underground palace, which was magnificent and made me wonder how it was built back then, immediately making me want to go home and open a history book. After that, we went to Changling, but as it was under renovation, we could only view the cultural relics inside the palace. Finally, we returned to the Bird's Nest for dismissal. Today's trip was very enjoyable, with lots to see, and we are very grateful to Guide Yang for his thoughtful and well-arranged itinerary. Highly recommended!
This tour was led by Guide Yang, who was very kind and gave lively and interesting explanations, making the trip even more wonderful. In the morning, we first visited the Ming Tombs to gain a deep understanding of the imperial mausoleum's history. Then, we arrived at Badaling Great Wall. Although there were many people, we successfully challenged ourselves to climb from North Tower 1 to North Tower 8. In the evening, we returned to the Bird's Nest to admire the magnificent Olympic stadium, bringing a perfect end to a fulfilling day.
To our friends from Taiwan, welcome to Beijing!" From the warm and friendly tour guide Yang from Northeast China, thank you for taking care of our family today! Tour guide Yang's professionalism and enthusiasm made this trip to Beijing's Badaling, Ming Tombs (Dingling and Changling) absolutely wonderful! Ever since booking the tour through Klook, we had high expectations for this trip, and Tour Guide Yang certainly did not disappoint. Not only does he possess deep knowledge of Beijing's history and culture, making dry historical stories come alive and interesting, but he also intersperses them with small anecdotes or interesting facts, making the entire guided tour full of fun. What was particularly impressive was Tour Guide Yang's smooth and experienced itinerary planning. His precise planning allowed us to be the first to arrive when taking the cable car up the Great Wall, enabling us to avoid the crowds and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Great Wall all to ourselves – this truly reflects his rich experience in leading tours! Tour Guide Yang's service was also very meticulous and thoughtful; he always noticed the needs of the group members and provided timely assistance. Throughout the trip, he patiently answered all questions from the group members and made excellent arrangements, making the entire journey smooth and comfortable. We are very grateful to Tour Guide Yang for giving us this unforgettable trip to Beijing, and we highly recommend him to all friends planning to visit Beijing's Badaling and Ming Tombs!
Tour Guide: Tour guide Mr. Yang was very responsible, explaining the various historical allusions of the attractions in detail. He was also humorous and talkative, and very considerate to the group members. Excellent!!! Itinerary Arrangement: Appropriate, travel time did not take up too much time. Attractions Along the Way: Badaling Great Wall and Dingling are both historical sites with profound heritage worth visiting. The Bird's Nest and Water Cube are truly beautiful.
The tour guide and leader made thoughtful arrangements, taking great care of the group members. The activity schedule wasn't too tight, allowing for a relaxed and pleasant experience. We were very lucky that there were no long queues or traffic jams at the Great Wall, and the weather wasn't too sunny. The scenery was beautiful, making it a historical and cultural site well worth visiting.
It's a large group of 16, possibly up to 25 to 30 participants. However, the guide, Xiao Guo, is very skilled at managing the group, keeping to the schedule, conducting headcounts, getting tickets on time, and arriving at destinations promptly. He provided a lot of information about the Great Wall of China and especially the Ming Tombs (we visited Dingling). And he is very humorous too.
We participated in a one-day tour to Badaling Great Wall and the Dingling and Changling Tombs of the Ming Tombs. We'd like to thank Mr. Yang, the senior tour guide from Jinma International Travel Service. Mr. Yang possesses a rich knowledge of culture and history, and his explanations of the imperial tombs were insightful and engaging. He managed the time precisely, ensuring the entire trip wasn't rushed. We are very satisfied.
The tour guide's explanations were very professional and detailed, and they took thoughtful care of everyone. The itinerary for this tour was quite compact and exciting. The Great Wall offered beautiful scenery. The optional performance show introduced was very spectacular.
