The location was easy to find, easy to access, and the wine is good.
There were many visitors on Valentine's Day. The three-wine tasting experience was unhurried, allowing us to slowly savor and enjoy. Afterwards, we just made it in time to watch the sunset, a perfectly arranged day.
You can start by freely visiting the small museum to learn the basics of Port wine, and there's an interesting sniffing area to test your sense of smell. The explanations are detailed, and all three wines at the end are delicious.

Honestly, it was more disappointing than I expected. It was more focused on explanations rather than directly experiencing the aroma of the oak barrels. Of course, you can taste and smell it during the tasting session. Next time, I'd like to go to the Douro Valley and experience it firsthand.
Located on the beautiful Douro River, the walk from the city center, passing by the Dom Luís I Bridge, is picturesque. Inside the winery, many invaluable wine barrels have a rich history, and the tour guide was very professional, opening up the world of Port wine for me. This experience included a tasting of more premium Port wines, not the 10-year-old Port served to other tour groups at a large table, but rather in another exquisitely decorated room, and it was a 20-year-old Port. The deliciousness was significantly higher. After the tour, I returned to the banks of the Douro River in a slightly tipsy state for a leisurely stroll, which was very relaxing and enjoyable.
For the first 15 minutes, you can explore the introductory area at the entrance on your own, followed by a 50-minute guided tour. The wine tasting area might feel a bit crowded as it seems to accommodate too many people at once.
It was a good tour considering it was my second time doing it. Informative and highly recommended.
