Fantástico 5.0

This was our second time joining a tour led by guide David, and the arrangements were very satisfactory. We departed from Perth at around 7 AM, heading south. The weather wasn't great today, with a bit of rain, but after the rain stopped, we saw a beautiful rainbow. Our first activity was a ride on a small train; the seats were a bit cramped, but the scenery was stunning. We stayed at the terminal for about 10 minutes before heading back. Afterwards, we went to a winery for lunch. The setting was beautiful, and we could see the vineyards. There was also a wine tasting session. We were all very pleased with the food and drinks. Later, we visited the southwestern tip to see the lighthouse and the confluence of the Indian and Southern Oceans. It was very cold, but well worth it. Given the long drive, we appreciate David's effort in driving. The journey was comfortable and safe.

Busselton is a truly beautiful place. We will definitely stay for at least one night if we visit again. Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse offers fantastic views and a cafe with excellent coffee. Just be careful of the very strong winds. The tour guide was very accommodating and friendly. We loved the place where we had our lunch. It was clean and spacious.

The hotel pick-up in the morning was punctual. We traveled from Perth city to our destination, leaving early and returning late, a total of twelve hours and over 700 kilometers round trip. Our driver and guide, Aaron Sun, drove safely and provided commentary throughout the journey. He only charged a A$5 tip (I mistakenly gave him A$10, which he refused 😂😂). We stopped at several worthwhile attractions along the way, allowing travelers to rest and making the itinerary very fulfilling 👍👍. It's a great choice if you're not driving yourself (if you were to drive to this destination, it would be quite tiring; even if I knew the way, it would take over seven hours to drive).

We were picked up and dropped off at the hotel near Perth station. The itinerary was well-paced. At the end of the tour, a tip of five dollars is requested. The ideal group size is about 15 people. We enjoyed the tour.

We were informed of the exact pick-up time and location one day before the tour. It was an extremely windy day, but the view at the lighthouse was worth it. Lunch was served hot, and we enjoyed it. Please note that at the end of the tour, the guide asked for a $5 tip. Overall, a good experience.

We met at the Gelato shop for the day trip, and the tour guide was punctual. We were the last to board the bus, and once inside, the atmosphere felt strange. Everyone on the bus seemed quiet and subdued. About 80% of the group spoke Cantonese, but the guide primarily spoke Mandarin (with a little Cantonese and English). I overheard some other group members expressing dissatisfaction with the guide, but she didn't seem to pay much attention. Later, I found out that the other group members were on a multi-day tour, so I don't know what happened between them and the guide in the previous days. I was only on a one-day tour. The itinerary included: (1) The Jetty Train, a small train located by the coast with a beach nearby for swimming, picnicking, and walking. The guide bought the tickets, and after receiving them, we boarded at the designated time. The ticket included both outbound and return journeys. Alternatively, you could choose to walk along the track for free. You could ride both segments or just one. The scenery along the way, with the endless ocean, was beautiful. However, the train seats were very narrow, with six people squeezed into each carriage, sitting uncomfortably close to strangers. It might be better to go during cooler weather. (2) DiLatte Winery + (3) Cheeky Monkey Brewpub for lunch. The guide first asked if anyone didn't want to taste wine. The winery included paid wine tasting (arranged by the guide). If you bought wine after tasting, each person received a AUD 5 discount per bottle. I tasted several wines, all of which were delicious, and bought a few bottles. I received an electronic receipt via email. Next to the winery was the lunch spot. The burgers and fries were very tasty, and the portions were large. If you couldn't finish, you could ask the staff for a box to pack it up. (4) Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, located by the sea. The path was flat and easy to walk, perfect for photos. Afterwards, we returned. In Western Australia, one or two-day tours are usually handled by a single guide, who also has to drive. It seemed quite tough for the guide to drive, navigate, explain attractions, and communicate with the group. This itinerary was well-arranged, with sufficient time and no rush. We returned to Northbridge and departed around 7:45 PM. Dinner was not included and was self-arranged. Overall, there were no major issues, but I had a mediocre impression of the guide. She didn't do anything specific, but I just felt a lack of respect and welcome, perhaps due to her tone? I'm not sure. A one-day tour should be enjoyable, but this experience fell short of my expectations.

It was a very rushed trip. The first attraction was the Busselton Jetty train, and time was tight. If we chose to walk, it would take about 25 minutes, which wouldn't leave enough time for photos. Whether walking or taking the train, we had to immediately queue for the return journey, and as soon as we arrived, we had to rush to the next stop. The second stop was a winery with lunch. For the wine tasting, everyone had to queue up to pour 5ml of wine to sample, which felt like queuing for free samples at a food festival, even though the tour guide said we had already paid for the tasting. It didn't feel good. Lunch was a burger, and again, we had to eat it very quickly. We had 35 minutes at the lighthouse but couldn't go inside. As soon as we got back on the bus, the tour guide rushed to collect tips. The return journey was a 4-hour drive.

It was raining on the day of our tour, so it was rather cold, luckily the tour was a small group (only 6 of us excluding the driver who also acts as a tour guide). The best part was the winery and the lighthouse. We reached back around 8 pm as the journey to margaret river back and fro took a no of hours. Value for money tour.
