The package with tickets and equipment rental is a great value. The rental shop is about a 3-4 minute walk away. I recommend checking the equipment before accepting it, as there will be a fine if any items are missing or damaged upon return. There's also a cafe with a great atmosphere and delicious cookies at the top of the ski slope. Getting the tickets is not complicated. If you want to ski and rent equipment, I highly recommend this package.

Iwatake Snow Resort is a great choice for skiers and snowboarders looking for a relaxed yet scenic experience in Hakuba. The resort is especially well known for its wide, well-groomed slopes that are ideal for beginners and intermediate riders, making it a comfortable place to build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. The terrain is open and forgiving, with plenty of space to cruise and enjoy the snow. One of Iwatake’s biggest highlights is the stunning panoramic view from the summit. On a clear day, the scenery alone makes the visit worthwhile, and the mountaintop area has been thoughtfully developed with viewing decks and cafés where guests can take a break and soak in the landscape. The facilities are modern and well maintained. Lift access is efficient, rental services are convenient, and the base area has clean restrooms, lockers, and dining options that cater to both quick meals and more relaxed stops.

Great view of the Japan Alps, indeed a great experience. We went on a February month and was a peak of skiing. The queue was long but fast. We enjoyed the gondola ride and the Yoo-hoo swing, a must try. Kids just play on the snow all throughout our stay.

Redemption was very easy. The equipment works well. The package includes a set of ski clothing and ski boots. All the outfits are beautiful, kept us very warm, clean, and odorless. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring we got the right size. We added on helmet rental for 2,000 yen per person and gloves for 550 yen.

Great experience, even if you don't plan to ski, you can go take a cable car going up for sight seeing.

The booking experience was hassle-free; just show the QR code at the ticket office and exchange it for a ski pass. I would also 100% recommend going to Iwatake for beginner slopes. Insane views and great runs!
