It took about 30 minutes for it to be activated. The SIM card is really cheap. It was easy to find the pick-up point just outside the arrival area. The internet connection of this SIM was really helpful for using Google Maps. I hiked on Lion Rock and it was good that there was still a signal, so I was able to do some live content.

I paid for two physical SIM cards that included calls, messages, and 5GB of data for my children, whose phones were not yet eSIM-ready. Upon arrival at HKIA, we exited at B, and the redemption counter was indeed at A09, so we had to walk about 150 meters. I showed the redemption QR code to the person in charge, and she immediately gave us the two SIMs, which were inserted into my children's phones when we arrived at the hotel. After turning on the phone with the SIM, I had to register a name first and take a picture of the passport data (for non-HKers). If I remember correctly, an adult is allowed to register 10 SIMs. We had to wait some time to confirm registration (I wasn't able to time it, but I think it was less than 30 minutes), and once confirmed, it was good to go. The signal was good everywhere. 5GB of data is enough for messages and navigation for 5 days, but it's not recommended for watching videos (or apps that require a lot of data).
