Our Ancient Troy tour was like a journey back in time. Walking through the ancient ruins, hearing the stories of Troy, the Trojan War, and the people who once lived there made me appreciate history in a different way. The journey from Istanbul was long, but absolutely worth it. Our guide made the experience more meaningful with the stories, history, and little details. I’m so grateful that we took the time to visit Troy!
Excellent tour, very very happy with how the logistics where handled leading up to and during the tour. No hassle with hotel pick up or drop off, breakfast lunch and dinner was very nice, kept quick so not to reduce your time seeing Troy. The tour of the ancient city was amazing, our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the historical importance of the 9 cities of Troy, he had a wonderful sense of humour, even sorted out 3 non English speaking ladies on the tour with an audio guide to help them. He pointed out the tomb of Achilles which you would have missed so easily if you did t know it was out there. One improvement, would like to have had more time to see Troy, 2 hrs was fine but to wander a bit more around the area would have been nice. But as I said an amazing day trip from Istanbul.
Although most of the time was spent traveling, it was worth it. I learned more about the history of Troy, the truth, and the myth. It was a fun and enjoyable trip. The guide, Ibrahim, was friendly and loved to joke.
Our tour guide Hasan was excellent and he did a great job of highlighting the amazing Troy site with stories and historical facts. The travel from Istanbul was long but we knew that ahead of time and so it was no problem. recommended for people who would like these types of tours!
The hotel transfer was very reliable, a four-hour drive one way, with a stop at a service station, which was perfect for breakfast and dinner. Although the lunch in the small town was simple, it had a strong local flavor. Taking the ferry to the Troy ruins allowed us to enjoy the beautiful strait scenery. The guide shared a lot of historical knowledge, and even though only broken walls and ruins were before our eyes, we felt a sense of traveling through a thousand years to touch history.
It was a great experience to have the tour by booking through Klook. The guide gave good information on the tour and everything was organized so well. I will use Klook in my future booking again.
They picked us up from the hotel. Punctual as well. The trip to Troy was smooth. Not too jerky as I get motion sick easily. Came with lunch and was tasty. Guide was informative and knowledgeable as well as entertaining. A bit short on time because we had to return to Istanbul. Would recommend staying overnight or a 2-day trip.
The journey was long but worth it. I highly recommend this trip; it will teach you about the history of Troy.
Good well organised tour with detailed guide about the interesting City of troy. Definitely must do if looking for day trips from Istanbul
The arrangements in all aspects were excellent. The driver was skilled, greeted us politely when we got in the car, and the tour guide was humorous, engaging, and knowledgeable. Although the journey was long, we had a wonderful time!
