Our guide, Xiao Yang (小杨), was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about Gulangyu's attractions. He was very helpful and thoughtful, ensuring we had frequent breaks while walking around Gulangyu, as we were traveling with elderly companions.

Cathy was excellent. She made the trip more interesting with the stories behind it. I booked this trip for my family, including elderly members. We had to walk around the island, but the itinerary was easy and slow-paced, which was manageable. It would be better if Klook included the puppet show fee in this package to make it a complete experience. Other than that, everything was good.

This was our family's first trip to Xiamen. The beautiful scenery of Gulangyu Island was very captivating, with many European-style buildings such as Shuzhuang Garden and the Piano Museum, making us feel as if we were in Europe, lingering and reluctant to leave! Mr. Luo Hua, our private Chinese tour guide, provided a very detailed and clear introduction to the history, culture, architectural features, and famous international figures of Xiamen's Gulangyu Island, leaving us with an unforgettable impression of this small island. The guide was kind and courteous, especially attentive to the elderly, finding seats for them on the ferry in advance. As for language, he not only spoke Mandarin but also understood simple English and Cantonese, so there were absolutely no communication problems.

Our tour guide was very thoughtful and informative. The tour was leisurely and a great balance of sightseeing, food sampling and she gave us great advice on shopping too. She recommended a hole-in-the-wall eatery that served great local foods. We stayed a night in Gulongyu, and our guide gave us map locations to the places she thought we would like to visit on the next day.

Our Chinese tour guide, Luo Hua, was very professional this time. She sent a WeChat notification the day before departure and arrived early on the day of the tour to wait for us. Her explanations of the attractions were detailed. Since it was a private tour, we could ask anything we wanted and rest whenever we needed, which was perfect for a family outing.
